  • Re: Requesting user feedback: Send to Kindle feature

This feature would push me over the edge in my decision to order a Logos package.

  • Re: Logos proprietary epaper ereader

I just purchased a Boox T68 Lynx to use with Logos. Here are some of my initial observations: The Logos software installed easily without any special tricks. Logos seems to run just fine, and I had no trouble downloading several resources to the device. Although the touch screen doesn't respond quite the same as a standard tablet, it is functional.

I just upgraded the Logos app on my Onyx Boox T68. Now the reading screen is completely black. My device is worthless now. I hope Faithlife fixes this right away. I'm dead in the water. I am surprised that Faithlife is not embracing the open E-Ink devices. They are such a perfect solution for what many potential buyers consider to be the largest drawback

I think open Android e-readers will quickly become the future and even Amazon will be forced to open things up. Faithlife would do well to pay attention to this coming trend.

What about an option to turn TextureView off? This would expand the number of devices that can run the app.

Randle, I completely agree. I held off on my purchase of Logos software until I found the Boox device. I wasn't going to invest until I had a solution for extended reading on the couch. If Faithlife doesn't decide to do a full-blow solution like you suggest, at least I hope they will recognize that e-ink addresses a huge concern for users. A small investment

  • Fuzzy Bible Search

I'm happy to see Fuzzy Bible Search. Perhaps I can quit using Google to find those verses that I almost remember. :) I've noticed some funny behavior with overlapping references in the results. For example, a search for "Immanuel" returns the following references: Is 7:14-16 Is 8:8-10Is 8:8 Is 7:10-25 Is 7:10-17 Is 7:1-17 Is 7:10-16 Is 7:1-25 Is 7:14

  • Re: Fuzzy Bible Search

I'm actually very happy with the fuzzy search. Even with the single word, the first results were the verses I was expecting to find. I pointed out the odd results in the later results in case the developers are looking to tweak the feature further.

  • Re: STUDENT DISCOUNT CUTS? :-(

As a poor seminary student, I too am disappointed to see that the Academic Discount is being reduced by a third. As it is, resources purchased with the academic discount can't be sold or transferred. If the discount is to be reduced so, we should at least be able to transfer or sell the resources just like a physical book.

  • Logos 7 API

Hi, Does Logos 7 still include an API. I found an old page with info for Logos 4 COM API, but that reference library is no longer included with Logos 7. I'd like to create a custom macro in Word that will grab Bible verses from Logos. I am aware of the SmartTags extension for Word, but I'd like to do my own thing. Thank you, Evan

  • Lenski translation of the NT compilation

Lenski's commentary on the NT includes his translation of each verse. He is one of the few guys that translates participles correctly, and I'd love to have a stand-alone Lenski translation of the NT. I believe this could be done by copying and pasting from his commentary to create a personal book. I figured that someone would have done this already

Thank you for your replies. Lynden, was there supposed to be an attachment? I don't see any articles. David, I have restarted my computer multiple times. I have L6 installed, but now I'm having trouble installing a service update.

Indexing is not the problem. The context menu just failed to appear and my system was not indexing.

I use a mouse with standard Windows drivers on the desktop and the trackpad on the Dell laptop. I’ll try to capture anlog file and post it here. Thanks.

There is simply no response to the right-mouse button.

  • Re: Long delay when adding tags to a new sermon

I'm don't have video capture software, but these screen captures should illustrate my problem. I type in a Key Passage or a Key Topic and then I wait... After 80-90 seconds, the pop-up finally appears: From now on, the pop-up for each additional Topic or Passage only takes 2 or 3 seconds to appear.

  • Trancated Hebrew Pronunciation

I recently purchased the Hebrew pronunciation resource. Many words (such as Elohim, the 3rd word of Gen 1:1) are truncated and only the last syllable is heard. Has anybody else had this problem?

  • Re: Logos 7 API

I don't have that file. I'm guessing that it's a legacy file left over from an older version of Logos. My machine has a fresh installation of 7.
