  • Re: Microsoft Office 2016 and Logos 6 Crashing?

I reinstalled Logos and that seems to have solved the problem, but it looks like others on the forums have been having similar crashing issues.

Well well, I'm glad I was able to start a good dialog on this possible problem. I haven't had the chance to get to the log files yet (secular job on Fri/Sat and Sunday morning message make it a little busy), but the chipset is something I had considered but thought, "Nah... too remote." Looks like I was wrong; it might be worth looking into. Thanks

Hmm, interesting. No, I am running Windows 10 (are you?). I did some updating while stuck in the house (we just had our 3rd baby) but hadn't run Logos and Word for the entire week. The only changes that occurred on my system happened are the updates to Logos and the upgrade to Word 2016 (and perhaps some automatic Windows updates I didn't notice). I

  • Microsoft Office 2016 and Logos 6 Crashing?

Started working with Logos 6 this morning after upgrading to Office 2016, and that is when the craziness started: Logos 6 pretty much freaked out and crashed at every start-up if Word was already open. When I closed Word 2016, Logos 6 opened fine. When Logos was already open, I opened Word and it all but froze the computer even from CTRL+ALT+DEL. I

I would just love to see what they put in a Wesleyan/Methodist package at all! :)

  • Re: Windows Phone 8 App

[quote user="Johannes Klein"] @ Logos: There are a couple people in this forum who said they'd be willing to even help finance a Windows Phone app (and that willingness would certainly increase if it could be a universal app, thereby improving on the current WinRT app). Could'nt you calculate how much funding you would need so that a solid app at about

  • Re: Upgrading

The whole release seems very... vague. For someone who doesn't follow the forums for details very often, this upgrade feels as though it is coming out of nowhere. Also, I am hearing people talking about crossgrading here but there doesn't seem to be any place to find out about it from the website itself. Like others, I've spent a TON already on Logos

  • Re: Upgrading

I am with both of you. I'm okay with the idea of a crossgrade, and I hope it comes soon, but this is information that would have been nice to know about SOMEWHERE on the site outside of the forums.

  • Re: Questionable "Bible Study Magazine" Ad

Bill, You are correct, and I have been disrespectful of the rules of the forum regarding theological issues. I respectfully withdraw from discussion, and beg your and others pardon. However, I hope the advertisement of the magazine everywhere on the softwares website does not confuse others like myself. I was honestly unaware that this was not the proper

  • Re: Questionable "Bible Study Magazine" Ad

I wouldn't have a problem with an app like that either. But that's not what this ad is doing. It is advertising a particular version of the Bible and is endorsing an agenda, with no hidden language, being advertised and designed to inspire the kind of divisive nature you seem to despise. And by the, not "Says me", says their doctrinal statements. I

There is still a problem with your comparison, though: Catholic, Trinitarian. Holiness, Trinitarian. Pentecostal, Trinitary. If we start down the unorthodox route, then BSM becomes the place you can come to study the Bible and find out about whatever God you want. I disagree with those three also, but recognize my argument is one of form, and not based

I'm echoing you, Josh. I'm disappointed in Logos, but I'm shocked that the first order, non-negotiable Doctrine of the Trinity is being tossed aside on a mere whim by some forum readers, or if not tossed aside put on some second and third tier backburner. This ad is a big enough issue that I'm sending a concerned letter. I expect better than typical
