  • Re: User Voice Suggestion ? Add Themes to personalize colors/colours ?

Part of dealing with a broken world is dealing with twenty-something programmers (not just at Logos) who think light grey text on a white background is cool. Guys, I was there once and believe me, Your time will come! I find it a bit ironic that my generation ecstatically bid farewell to the colourless world of B&W TV and now our kids want us to look

Good points, but, what if you are a person who wants to learn about the Bible but know nothing of the "scholarly" side of Bible study. You would be expecting to learn about the Bible as a closed system with internal consistency and you would expect a program like Logos to help you put the pieces together but as was mentioned in another discussion, a

Hi The problem that I have with AYBD is one of trust. If a person is familiar with all of the academic issues and critical theories etc, then they would be able to wade through it and understand where it is all coming from. If for example, you've never heard of JEDP the material touching on the Pentateuch will through you for a loop. So, since I am

  • Re: Logos 6 and current Logos 5/4 users?

I would expect that even with a deadline in 2015, work on L6 is already well advanced and nearing completion and that Logos is already in the early stages of working on L7!

[quote user="David Paul"]Actually, as I've said before, I disagree with nearly everything I buy from Logos. Disagreement isn't what is sticking in my craw. It's the inclusion of so much stuff strewn throughout Logos collections that treats the Bible as if it is just another historical human document. It's like the "scholars" take priceless artworks

Hi, I believe you. I've seen similar behaviour on my MacBook with Mountain Lion but with Word 2011. Usually I can cut and paste into Word using Command-C/V. Sometimes however, the keys stop working and I have to use the Edit Menu to paste into Word. It has happened from Logos I believe but usually it's from Safari or Firefox. When it does happen I have

Hi After installing the update on MacBook - Pro Mountain Lion, changing layouts in full screen mode does funny things to the window. Sometimes the window size is smaller and sometimes larger than the viewable area. I have to drop out of full screen and then reselect full screen in order to resize it correctly.

  • Re: Looks like Zondervan bought themselves some Bible software...

This is really interesting news! I can't imagine HCC bringing Bible Gateway and Olive Tree under the same umbrella just for the fun of it. They must have a plan. Today's market is about light, mobile apps connecting to your data wherever you are so I could easily see Logos getting cornered into a niche if they are slow at reacting.

  • Bible Study Magazine - Cancelled

Hi For the record, I've recently cancelled my subscription to BSM. It's not so much because of the content, in fact, I'm not really sure what's in it because I don't read it. I had subscribed a couple of years ago and forgot to unsubscribe last year. Fortunately, I remembered just in time last week. The problem is, I can't read it. After two surgeries

Biblia.com and faithlife look ok for reading but my notes don't seem to be accessible. As for security well, I wasn't expecting that once logged in to Logos I would be logged in forever. Regardless of where the computer might be, even at home, the kids might decide to check out dad's computer.

  • Signing in and out

Hi A little patience please, I'm just getting acquainted with Logos. One of the first issues I've encountered is the signing in/out process. I saw that it was discussed for Logos 4 but has this been reviewed for Logos 5? Essentially, what it comes down to is how do I sign out of my account and how to not have Logos sign in automatically? Thanks
