• Re: Blog on Baker new releases misleading
I'm sorry about this. Sometimes we blow it, and this is one of those times. Our enthusiasm to communicate the great discounts available on many new Baker Pre-Pubs, and our excitement about the availability of Moo's Galatians commentary came together in a way that was unintentionally misleading. The Moo image was selected

  • Blog on Baker new releases misleading

The most recent post on the Logos blog announces 40% off on selected Baker new releases, specifically mentions Moo's forthcoming Galatians commentary, and even shows the cover for that item in that opening paragragh. But when the reader clicks on the Moo volume, the discount is only 10%. Reading the entire blog leads one a short list at the very end

  • Crossway flooded

Crossway has been ravaged by flooding. http://us1.campaign-archive1.com/?u=ffca6be08f8a9a360d66dd42b&id=4f399c8a82&e=5510716cd3 Brought back memories of floodwaters in Pittsburgh many years ago that wiped out Soli Deo Gloria publications, resulting in the closing of the company and the sale of the book rights to Reformation Heritage Books. And of course

Seems like a no-brainer, but pricy: Logos version list ptice is also $45, but the PrePub price is $40.45, a discount of only 10%.
It is not a "no brainer" when the hardback book is on preorder for less than $27, and the Logos copy is more than $40. I have to strain my brain to decide if

  • New on PrePub - Doug Moo on Galatians - BECNT

Seems like a no-brainer, but pricy: http://www.logos.com/product/31904/baker-exegetical-commentary-on-the-new-testament-galatians Amazon lists Nov. 2013 as publication date, and discounts the volume from a list of $45 to just over $27.25, a decent 39% Logos version list ptice is also $45, but the PrePub price is $40.45, a discount of only 10%.
Too bad they allowed that snafu. I saw an order date of TODAY and knew I did not place the order so I just cancelled it altogether figuring it was a system failure on Logos' part. I later realized it was once in my Community Pricing list. Well, it is not there (or anywhere) now.
Call customer service. They'll restore
Where are you seeing a ship date of 04/29/2013? Are you sure that's not the date you placed your order? It shows as Under Development for me on the product description page, and as Under Contract (which means the same thing, essentially) on my orders page under PrePubs.
Looks like it is "corrected" now. It definately

  • Re: What if Microsoft tanks

People are not abandoning Windows. Quite simply most consumers find more satisfaction and bang-for-the-buck by keeping their existing desktop PCs and us ing their available gadget-budget to buy mobile devices and flat screen television. Upgrading a PC desktop or laptop right now simply does not compare with the return a consumer gets. Are desktop PC

Down to $25 Is $20 realistic with only 40 hours left? With only 4 volumes I sure hope so. Even $5 per volume seems high for public domain material.

If you have never used a Samsung Galaxy Note before, I suggest you find a retailer that will allow a reasonably complete demo, including installation of the Logos spp with just some free resources. The Samsung S-Pen is a game-changer with tablets. I started my tablet life with the first iPad. About a year ago I needed a phone and went with the first

Ordering the PrePublications by bestselling, Spicq ranks as the 15th best selling prepub, which includes community pricing items that gathered sufficient interest to reach development status. In fact, 11 of the top 15 originated as community pricing items. That means Spicq ranks 4th when only considering items that have a fixed price. Here's the top
Can someone explain how the bidding system works. This is my understanding: if I bid the recommended price (which is $80 for this item), the "system" will automaticaly adjust to the appropriate amount if it reaches enough people to hit a certain amount. For example, I bid $80 which is the recommended amount (the one that
