• Re: Searching library for subjects
Ah! Now don't I feel foolish :) Well, I guess to maintain the usefulness of this thread, what are the general tips for building subject based collections? Is it sufficient to just search the subject category, or should I use other identifiers to? Thanks!
It is going to be hard to get people to add to this thread if you want

  • Re: Searching library for subjects

You could try a general search with the key: <Topic Biblical Apologetics> OR Apologetic OR Apologetics. Check the results for any general apologetics resources which were not found by the library search.

Hi Josh, You were close! Try "subject:apologetics"; i.e., not plural.

  • Re: Pericope

While reading the ESV, go to the line which has the Biblical reference and go over to the icon with three dots. That is for the control of visual filters. Select the visual filters icon and see if "Bible text only" is checked. If you uncheck it, the the pericopes should show up in the text. If you want to leave "Bible text only" checked, then you can

Another way: check https://documents.logos.com
Even if you are using only one device, then there is advantage to the cloud. For instance, if your single device
Have a named layout(s) with your favourite/most used resources, at least one guide, two Search panels in separate tiles, and a narrow tile on the right for Tools like Highlighting, Information, Favorites. No more than 20 panels in total. Advantages: When you search, you can often select from Open Resources You can compare
When you are reading a passage in a commentary, just hit the right arrow key to immediately jump to the same passage in your next commentary instead of having to go via the library. • Re: Recent additions.

There is a column in the details view of your library which will give the date of the last update. This lumps resource updates and library additions together. But you should be able to remember which are the additions.
I'm wondering what your best tip is for Logos? I've used it for years, but I've learned that seemingly everyone has figured out a little shortcut, or awesome and helpful tool built into the system that they like to share. So, what is your best Logos tip?
Organize your research around "Favorites"! Create a folder

  • Re: How to cite a Logos 7 word study

I tried exporting to Microsoft Word after verifying that my settings were to produce an SBL citation which was also set to "Copy Citations" (whatever that means). The only "citation" was in the footer: "Page . Exported from Logos Bible Software , 2:18 PM September 18, 2018." This does not seem adequate. I tried "Copy to clipboard", Rich Text Format

  • How to cite a Logos 7 word study

I have a friend who is writing an academic article and needs to cite a Logos word study in his paper. He is required to follow SBL style to cite any research. He has done a word study for the word "ordinance" in the NT. The information that he discovered is useful for an article he is writing. However, he cannot figure out how to cite the word study

As a last resort, you can type the abbreviation into the search pane of you Logos Library window or type it into the Products search in www.logos.com . BTW: Should we be soliciting for "Cheats" on this forum?
Staying at $100 need to stabilize this bid. Need new bidders at $90 and those at $150 to lower their bids to $90 or $100.
I would propose an alternative! There is an advantage to having a healthy price line at higher prices than the strike price. It shows people who arrive at the bidding page that a number of people believed

I took business law from Claude Olney at ASU. He had a side business of training people how to study for tests. One of his side courses was titled "Where there is a will, there is an A". His contention was that people employed underlining incorrectly. When studying for a test, his method was to underline the surprises that you encountered while you

  • Re: Thoughts on Individual NICOT/NICOT Volumes

I just visited the sales page and realized that I am in the same boat. I currently own just over half of the set. So after the dust settles expect to be able to complete the set for around $400. That's going to be a hard choice. I had already pretty much decided on the ACCS offer. It may involve talking to my wife and getting my birthday and Christmas

You might try www.bestcommentaries.com and click on Best -> Top Commentaries by Series. Look for the column labeled NICOT. The same column has the label NICNT below. You can see which particular resources are highly regarded by Evangelicals. I have used this method to see if I wanted to get the single volumes from Pillar and Opening Up that I was

In another thread, I pointed out that one of my best friends had acquired this series during the original publication in print form. He paid over $1,000 for the set. He considers it one of the jewels of his library. Even though, since he is retired, he is on a tight budget, he is considering taking advantage of this sale in order to have it in his Logos

I'm jumping to the conclusion that anyone wading through this technology on the Apostolic Fathers and how they employ scripture may have an interest in: https://www.logos.com/product/31152/ancient-christian-commentary-on-scripture-complete-set-updated-edition This commentary
