• Re: How do I find out which version of Logos 7 is running on my Windows desktop?

Hi Loretta! Welcome to the Logos Forums. Start up Logos on your PC or Mac. On the far right of the command bar at the top of thee window, there will be a '?' inside of a circle. Left click it. Then select About Logos Bible Software at the bottom of the command box that pops down. The Logos version will be in resulting report window.

  • Re: Can't bid on Community Pricing product

You should get in touch with Faithlife customer service and point this out. I was just able to bid $16. Since it is not even developed, there is not much chance that you already own it. The bidding will close on February 16. So you have a week to deal with this.

  • Re: Good book on explaining Daniel 5 to Sunday School grades 1-3?

I remember hearing this story at a young age. First, you need to give them context. If they are already familiar with the story of Daniel in the lion's den, then they may have an idea of the Jews living in Babylon (pagan) in captivity. Second, you introduce Daniel as a prophet of God who remains loyal to God even though he is in a remote land living

  • Re: Size of Perseus Classics Collection

I recently helped some people set up Logos using Logos Basic. I warned them to NOT download the Perseus collection just because there have been so many people on the forums through the years that complain that the volume of books interferes with finding resources in the Library. I would recommend that you set up a dummy Logos account for the sole purpose

  • Re: how do I show I am reading a book that I ordered?

I'm suspicious of the percentage. I know that I read Sproul's "Not a Chance" cover to cover almost fifteen years ago. But Logos reports that I have read only 11% of the book. Do you suppose that they "reset" the percentage if there is an update which is downloaded?

I just bid $9. The web page informs me that: "Your bid will likely succeed", but I'm not holding my breath.

A friend gave me a French version of the Jerusalem Bible years ago. The original translation was done by Catholics in French. I found it much easier to read than Segund.

  • Re: Best reading material

Reading is great, but don't forget learning by hearing! My wife and I have an audio copy of Knowing God. We listen to it while driving on long trips. People who have long commutes can also take advantage of audio. We have also listened to several of the sermons from the D.A. Carson collection. Many of these sermons would be suitable for expanding the

  • Re: Storage space

Have you been taking Mobile Ed courses? Until you take a course, the media is not downloaded. Once you watch a session, it is downloaded. It is probably kept on your computer until you delete it. Media can take up storage for more than just Mobile Ed courses. Some of the media resources can be "unloaded". I ran an experiment to download all the media
I thought I'd report back in this thread that it was easy to download individual Carson sermons to my iPhone and later listen to them off-line. I'm quite excited about this, even though the quality of the early sermons is quite poor.
O.K. Now that you mention it, I see that (1) going to the library, (2) selecting

It sure doesn't make sense to me. I have verified that "Delete downloaded media" did result in getting disk space back for the Carson sermons. So after reading your post, I opened a Witherington course that where I had viewed a couple of videos. Pressing the "Delete downloaded media" resulted in a slight increase of disk space usage! So I am at a loss

My Logos crashed this morning and I got a pop-up from Windows 10 telling me I was out of disk space. Apparently, downloading all the Carson sermons took my last 13 GB of disk space leaving me with less than a GB. I used the "Delete downloaded media" control and immediately got my 13 GB back. I also deleted the media on the John Frame lectures and got
