  • Care to Share your Highlighting Standards

As I try to put some time into purposeful highlighting and creating some specific highlighting plan I thought I'd pose the question to the community for input. What highlighting plan have you come up with? I'm thinking they could be broken down into "categories" (or palettes I guess). I'm sure there are some very in depth palettes for different types

Thank you for your reply. I am going to see if Notes will work the way I want since I don't plan to upgrade to 9 just yet.

Lord have mercy people!!! I don't want your opinion on how to do something. I wanted an answer to a technical question. I disagree with any of you who say I shouldn't use the word in witnessing because it and the Holy Spirit are what does the work. I merely wanted an easy way to pull up verses that I often refer to in witnessing. Sheesh. ...never ask

It's not about going through some canned verses...it's about the fact that the word never returns void and therefore about letting them actually see and read it for themselves...some for the very first time. So having some of the verses to let them ready and being able to very easily pull up in a discussion is beneficial.

Yeah I wondered if a Passage List would do it. What about options in version 8? I've not upgraded to 9 yet.

  • Best Way to use Mobile While Witnessing?

I'd like to have a list of verses in order as I speak with someone and decide to use any of the methodical witnessing methods like the Roman Road or Four Spiritual Law or Gospel Bracelet. In going through I would like to show (have the person SEE IT IN THE WORD) them any verse I reference. Are any of the new 9 Mobile tools useful for achieving this

I experience that behavior too, although not all the time. ...but occasionally I'll be in church and go to a verse we are going through and when I try to scroll to the next page it won't go any further, I then try other verses and I can't. As soon as I get home (to the Internet) it's fine.

  • Re: How to select a reading plan for a workflow

Oh well that's dumb. IMHO of course. Yes I guess I ASSUMED that since you can type in the text reference and it shows it right there that if you selected a reading plan it would also be able to be "connected" and show right there as you click each days verse. No biggie I guess really but would be nice.

Yes. I know all of that. I you CAN do it. I don't know HOW to do it. When you click the Create Reading Plan it just takes you to create one. It doesn't link it to the Workflow...and there's no obvious way to choose the Reading Plan as your text for the Workflow. You have to type in a bible reference instead.

  • How to select a reading plan for a workflow

I am trying out the Devotional Workflow and the first screen says that you can choose a reading plan for the workflow but I don't know how.

  • Re: Logos 9 Wishlist

How about you do a little project like this: Create teams within FL and have them each perform a typical user function that revolves around the Bible and the study thereof. Create a forum for each and have said employees create conversations around that use for feedback. This way FL developers get a stronger sense of the use of Logos for specific needs

Ability to use Pencil for handwritten notes rather then typed in notes (i.e. Draw tab like in one note). LATER you can add the OCR capability if that's a huge deal to include. Ability to do journaling with Logos Mobile instead of having to do in separate app like Notability, OneNote. This way that journal can always be referenced (anchored) to the scripture

  • Re: Logos 4 Mac... VERY EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE

yeah I noticed that too that's why I did a reboot keeping it at 32-bit before doing a reboot at 64 just to make the comparison a little more scientific I hadn't rebooted in 2 1/2 days and had run Parallels yesterday. Logos makes my mac slow but Parallels makes my Mac DOG slow. ...not complaining though. NEVER thought I'd switch to MAC now doubt I'll

  • Re: Logos 4 Mac... VERY EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE

Yes, thanks for replying. That's actually how I found out about my mac running in 32-bit mode instead of 64. I didn't turn the Internet thing off. Isn't that needed to sync so when I use my iPhone app the info is replicated from when I worked on my Macbook?

no improvement at 64-bit though but there's still significan lag at times (slow click response --multiple seconds, etc.). Does anybody else come across this???

Wow. I've had my Macbook Pro 17 since June '10 (first mac--and love it), and just now found out it has been running in 32-bit mode. i5 2.53Ghz, 4GB ram, OS X 10.6.6 I got on these forums to find out if others are experiencing Logos constantly showing the beach ball and taking long times to react to scrolling and menu clicks etc. For example I'll swipe
