  • Re: Library Filter Field for Collection

Hi Team, thanks for the feedback. I was able to use the following search successfully. author:spurgeon AND {Collection "Theology - Soteriology"} Did not know you could use { } in Library search. I also agree that case sensitivity makes it harder. Further, the collection name has to be exact. Would be nice if you could put in a partial collection name

  • Re: Library Filter Field for Collection

Hi Rosie, Yes I know it is possible to get to collections from the Collections filter. I guess what I would find easier is instead of typing search patterns into two places like so: It would be easier to just type below: I know this may not be the best example, but you get the drift. I am basically able to do what I want to do, just making a suggestion

  • Library Filter sections sorted by number of books, instead of alphabetically

Many of the changes to the Library in Logos 8 are great. However, one of the least friendly functions is when browsing books from Library Filter Panel, all the resources are organized by number of books, instead of alphabetically. For instance, if I want to browse for books written by D. A. Carson, I expand Authors and have to read each line sequentially

  • Library Filter Field for Collection

I have been using Logos since v.3, and have setup many collections over the years that fit what I do. And, it would be great if I could search my library using "collection:". I am surprised this Filter Field does not exist, especially since nearly every other conceivable Filter Field is included. Thanks.

  • Using double quote in a Collection name crashes Logos 8

I found an apparent bug in Logos 8, that didn't exist before. If you use a double quote (") in the title of a Collection (ie. Wiersbe's "Be" Series), then select that collection from the Library, Logos then crashes (closes). I had two Collections using double quotes in the name. I changed the double quotes in those collection names to single quotes

  • Re: Logos 8 "Go Box" Layouts don't work as expected

Ahh. I was also able to replace the Topic Study layout under the Home Page Layouts with an updated "Go Box" Topic Study layout. Now opening a Topic Study Layout using the Go Box drop down, I get my updated MP Topic Study Layout I saved in Home Page Layouts. Outstanding. Also, I Logos Bible Software 8.1 (8.1.0.0016) running on Win 7 Pro SP1. Thanks so

  • Re: Logos 8 "Go Box" Layouts don't work as expected

Thanks Graham for the information. So, as you said, the "Go Box" Passage Study Layout is tied to the "Home Page Layouts - Passage Study". I updated this layout to include the Exegetical Guide, and used the "Replace with current layout" as you described. Now the "Go Box' layout includes the updated Passage Study layout from the "Home Page Layouts" as

  • Logos 8 "Go Box" Layouts don't work as expected

I have recently upgraded to Logos 8, and was running through the MP Quick Start videos (looking for anything new). The "Bible Study With Go and Guides" videos describe the ability to open enhanced layouts for Topics Study and Passage Study. However, the examples Morris depicted don’t match functionality in my Logos 8. Topic Study: When Morris

  • Re: Bible Word Study: Textual Searches does not show Psuedepigrapha

Oh Duh. Bible Word Study for a NT (Greek) word is probably not going to use an OT Pseudepigrapha. Looks like I need more sleep. Can you recommend a Pseudepigrapha resource for NT Bible Word Study?

  • Bible Word Study: Textual Searches does not show Psuedepigrapha

I was following a Logos Bible Study Tips video: The Bible as "myth". And I noticed in my Bible Word Study for "myth", that Textual Searches does not show an option for Psuedepigrapha. I tried the same with other words: faith, pastor, truth, with the same results - no Psuedepigrapha I do own two Psuedepigrapha: Old Testament Pseudepigrapha (2 vols.)

  • Re: NA27 Int. transliteration not working

Thanks everyone. Yes, the transliterated text is displaying correctly in NT books other than Hebrews-Revelation. It is just a fluke that I stumbled across this issue. God bless.

  • Re: NA27 Int. transliteration not working

Hi Philana/Bradley, I went through the process to delete the NA27 Int. resource, and re-download it. Unfortunately, it did not help. NA27 Int. still has the "transliterated" issue; the same as the last picture I posted. The "Support Info" of NA27 Int. is the same as before (which I assume is expected). Logos was also updated to 7.11 last night.

  • NA27 Int. transliteration not working

The English transliteration is not working for "Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament, 27th Edition with McReynolds English Interlinear | NA27 Int.". When you select "Manuscript (Transliterated)" or "Greek Lemma (Transliterated)" from the Inline Interlinear filter button, what you get is another row of "Manuscript" or "Greek Lemma" respectively; not an English

  • Re: Links in Exegetical Summary Series have changed

Thanks Kyle for the response. As a suggestion, I would make the 1st click on a link go straight to the static footnote pop-up with the the three options for copying the bibliography. This would be more in line with how you have setup the standard in other resources. I would not think the intention was to click on a link to get a static bibliography

  • Links in Exegetical Summary Series have changed

The way links work in the Exegetical Summary Series have recently changed. Here is some example text from the ESH: LEXICON—a. pres. act. impera. of διώκω (LN 15.158, 68.66) (BAGD 4.b. p. 201): ‘to pursue’ When you hover the cursor over the reference (ie. 15.158), you get a popup showing a snippet of LN 15.158

  • Book Suggestion: "Happy Half Hours with the Bible"

My wife bought this book in a used books store, and it is really a work of art. I feel it would be a great addition to Logos.
