• Re: Logos 8 release coming?

Seems like the last few times before the big release of a new version, the website went down while they prepared for the announcement. So, when we see the site go down, a new release might be imminent.

Mindomo has a good product (iOS and Desktop) and a very neat presentation mode.
But expensive... have to buy every 6 months...
Not as much as Brain or imindmap or MindManager...

I like TheBrain. I tried to use it for a while - free version. But what I did not like about the free version was that you could not print. Is just expensive to really utilize.

  • Re: Slightly OT: Stardock Groupy

Steer clear of Groupy. I am a long time Stardock supporter going back to Windows 3.1 with WindowsBlinds. But, lately, there stuff is being released before ready to be in Prime Time. With Groupy running on my Win64 Pro machine, I have all kinds of video anomalies. So, I uninstalled it. My system perked back up.. Maybe when v. 2 comes out...

  • Re: Is this normal? Why does my laptop sound like it's preparing for takeoff?

I am not in the Mac tribe, but it is the same for Windows. In fact, I pretty much got the fastest loaded with RAM and SSD I could afford for the express purpose of being able to run Logos comfortably. My laptop has dual fans and many times indexing, they wind up like a power blower. It is just part of the price of using Logos.

  • AYBD or ISBE, Revised?

Ok, so, with the new collection sale, I like two collections. The deciding factor for me is whether to opt for the one with AYBD or the one with ISBE Revised. So, which one should I go for?

When can we get a dark version of the mobile app? Olivetree has one and it is gorgeous.

  • Re: Logos Now and Faithlife Connect: The Why

Not a happy camper! I believe the initial announcement for LN was the brilliant additional features “now”. I was a long time Adobe customer. I owned Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign - all very expensive programs. Then, they went subscription model and I slowly extracted myself from Adobe after being loyal and upgrading along the way

  • Re: Back to Windows - Requirements for smooth Logos7

Mine was an earlier i5 - dual core. So, it was very slow with Logos, comparatively. I don't remember which generation or its specs. I do remember it being slow.

  • Re: Back to Windows - Requirements for smooth Logos7

I scrounged and saved to get a quad core i7 along with the other recommendations. I had an i5 and it suffered tremendously - even with SSD. So, since you are asking for recommendations, I would get quad core i7, if possible.

  • Re: What would you tell your younger self about Logos?
Don't think that a software program can ever replace hard work, diligence and prayerfulness. Logos is a wonderful tool, but it doesn't replace your mind or soul.
Mark: That last one is the best advice... (Somehow the quote made it number 1, but it was Mark's number 8.)

  • Windows Speed idea...

It may just be me wanting to believe it, but I have installed the Windows 10 Fall Creator's Update and am using the Game Mode when running Logos 7 - believing that it might help with the graphics. I have a pretty fast laptop now with 16GB RAM, and SSD, i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz. So, I am thinking with Windows 10 Game Mode I might gain some graphics speed.
