I would also buy this + any of Herman's other books and pamphlets. Especially any of his writings on the common grace controversy.

CM, we've missed you on the old CD forum for some time and would like to see you and others join in on the new. https://www.christiandiscourse.net/ Jan did a great job setting this up and it has the same vibe as the original forum.

Thanks Jan! Can we use a different Password? Will using our Logos Password provide access to our credit card info?

Jan, thanks for your work on this project. I remember paying most attention to categories similar to these. News and Current events Bible questions and Answers Devotional Inspirational There were more I believe. Perhaps someone remembers more. Also for etiquette I found this link that could perhaps furnish a guideline. http://achievevirtual.org/7-rules

CD had "like" options. If you liked a post you could endorse it with a click. But all posts remained for any to see unless deleted by the original poster. As Wolfgang S. said earlier: " participants on a forum such as this are not forced to read all posts nor are they forced to reply, etc. Each participant is free to write and actively participate in

What was great about CD was that Logos sells to a broad swath of christendom. And to censor any is to censor customers. On the other hand, if someone who is bound by conscience to uphold their "version of the truth", moderates the forum, little if any open dialog between contributors will exist.

  • Re: Problem with Creating a PBB

I'm not sure how to interpret the log file but I've found that by stripping the format of the text sometimes helps. I normally copy the entire text from MS Word and paste it into Notepad. Then copy that and paste the NotePad version back into Word. Then hit auto format in Word (2013). It then opens without errors in Logos. If you do not have Auto Format

Thanks Jan! CD.net looks great and I'm looking forward to joining in. I hope we can edit or delete our posts once published. Sometimes things don't come out as intended and it's good to be able to go back and make refinements.

Why not launch your site anyway? The CD forum was always my favorite site. But anything similar would be attractive. Thanks for your efforts.

I think Gao_Lu in the above post provides some interesting possibilities. I did a google search and came up with the following link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002W83DFW/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1 . Based on reviews it might be a good place to begin.

  • Copyright search engine.

I found this link when a question recently came up about copyright violations. Also it serves to resolve the issue of renewed copyrights that we might think expired within the original term limits.

I would search out differing world views from ancient to present. And especially search out anything pertaining to eisegesis vs exegesis of the scriptures as the basis for differing Christian world views.

I would like to remove this file until I do further checking about the copyright. How do I do this? I do not see a delete file option.

  • The Seed of Abraham by Albertus Pieters

Albertus provides a clear view of why the Church is Israel. And how the New Covenant replaced all of the Old Covenant while at the same time fulfilling the Abrahamic covenant. Mark j. Bergsma writes: “Perhaps the main thrust of the entire book is spelled out in the chapter on “The Seed of Abraham and the New Covenant.” Pieters quotes

I'm still open for a 365 day plan and hope something turns up before tomorrow. I used "Footsteps Through the Bible" last year. I'm looking at Professor Horner's ten chapters a day plan, or possibly a Logos generated plan. I hope to use the NET version with notes this time

That would be great. I believe CD was as near perfect as you can get. The strong points were free speech presented to all, whether they liked it or not. And doctrinal and political debate open to public view and response.

I'm wondering where everyone from the CD forum is now posting. I moved to Twitter and have some other sites in mind. But I'm keeping CD bookmarked hoping to finish a couple of discussions we left hanging. But if CD doesn't return, thanks to all who posted there making it one of the best forums on the net.

  • Highlighting question

I'm planning a bible read through for next year. I'm using a PB without dates. It has Day 1, followed by verses. Day 2 followed by verses. I can manually highlight each day marking it read. One click, keeping the mouse button depressed to select it. And another click on the highlight menu to select the highlight. And then saving it as an updated Layout
