  • Changing Audience type in sermon editor

Is there a way to have extra audience types in the sermon editor? For example: Middle School Group / High School Group / Sunday School Class / etc

  • Re: Will BDAG and HALOT ever be cheaper than 40% off?

I also wonder if i should get this. I started seminary earlier this year (been a youth pastor for 5 years). I don’t know any Hebrew, but I will have it as one of my classes. Any thoughts if this is something that would be useful? I emailed the Hebrew teacher and he said that he doesn’t require it because of the cost, but he uses BDB (or

  • Re: Does the $330 ipad work well with the logos app?

I think by saying $330 you mean the latest model that is $329. If you look at prices online it goes on sale at amazon, best buy, and walmart for $249 very often. Just a little tip thatll save you $80. If you add ipad as a topic to the apple news app (if you have a device with that app) you'll see all sorts of news articles that mention price drops.

  • Re: Ipad mini 4 vs Ipad mini 5 (2019)

I'll echo everyone. I'm not an expert, but I did work at an Apple store for about a year and still keep up with them nearly daily. if price allows, find a new one on sale. Ask Best Buy to price match. Rakuten (?) had them on sale new for 331 few weeks ago. keep youy eyes open. b&H is currently 384. As the others said, the 4 is already old. So in

  • Re: Morris Proctor's Seminars

I've never paid for any of his stuff, but I watch the free webinar part one this week. He went on about the gold medal shortcut and if you only remember one thing etc etc well when he showed that you could cycle through versions, and commentaries and dictionaries by only pressing left and right... i was mind blown.

I bet getting this computer would make you the smartest theologian to ever live. Imagine how fast you could search for things in Logos. I could be smarter than Jonathan Edwards. Mac Pro $6,000 Monitor $5,000 Stand so you dont have to duct tape the monitor to your wall $1,000 Logos Ultimate $20,000 total package $32,000... still cheaper than some mDiv

I second that. I wish it was a larger picture of the book cover.

  • Re: Jonathan Edwards Yale Library Works

I already had the hardback 26 volume set. (Not brand new but I spent about a year searching for them volume by volume. They retail for $125 each, but my aim was $40 or less.) I've only read about 4-5 that would count as cover to cover. Many of them you will only read a sermon here or there, or a miscellany here or there. I already had the 2 vol from

I’ve also been using the Duet app some for a few months. If I am out and about and know I will be using it for a while, I’ll have my laptop open with logos, and duet on the iPad for safari or mail. I was very glad to hear the macOS 15 rumor. Would be great to see that supported natively.

  • Heiser announcement on the podcast

just heard on his podcast that he will be taking a position at a church and will be leaving logos soon. He said he would say more later, but he mentioned it briefly. Said he’s really enjoyed his time at logos. Long time ago I heard of mike through a paranormal interest I had. I was shocked when I learned that this new bible software I was gifted

  • Startup chime

Does anyone know if there’s a way to change the start up chime when logos opens? While looking at the free priced items on the web store I downloaded the free nostalgic chime from many versions ago, and I wouldn’t mind have that one play when I open it.

  • Re: Logos Screensaver

Thought I would suggest this and I see that you already have. My suggestion isn't as elaborate as yours though. I would just like a way to see book covers float around or smeothing. A virutal library would make it even nicer, like you said. I often forget what books I even have. This semester I didnt realize one of our textbooks I have had from a library

  • Re: Number of pages/words in a book

I would love to know how many pages my Logos library was. Or since theres not a whole lot of image heavy books, maybe an estimate of so many GB's equals so many printed pages.

I was literally in the middle of composing a forum post the other morning asking for people to give their advice. I just started seminary and have been a fullttime youth pastor for 4 years. Was wondering if it would be a good investment for the years to come... While in the middle of writing the post my phone rings and the ID says Faithlife. I answered

  • Re: 12” MacBooks

My 2 cents... if you are in the new market and have $1,000 plus to spend on something new I would look at a 13" macbook pro. check sites like macrumors and 9to5mac and appleinsider for links to recent sales. I bought a 13" macbook pro few weeks ago during a one day sale at bestbuy and got $400 off. The lines are blurry between a macbook and a mb air
