• Re: Logos 5 features coming to iOS?

I would still love for someone to clarify what logos 5 features are not in logos iOS version. Saying what features are in iOS doesn't exactly give me clarity on what features are missing. I don't work for logos and therefore don't have the master list of logos 5 features memorize. I can't effectively compare the two without someone helping me out, thanks

  • Re: Logos 5 features coming to iOS?

I guess the next pertinent question is what are the main logos 5 desktop features that ARENT a part of iOS? That may get me closer to my answer. Replacing my my desktop with a laptop won't work until apple massively lowers the cost of a terabyte of ssd. I have 1.2 terabytes on my desktop and its more than half full And I don't want to offload it to

blocking https is paramount, that's why it's A feature for parental control software, headache yes, but is does have a purpose. If you don't have it blocked any https site can be accessed regardless of what your filters are that are set up. In other words you could access https://google.com do an image search with zero filtering. Filtering would kick

  • Question about accessing logos secure servers with parental controls enabled

I have a question, the Mac that I use has restrictions enabled and specifically the blocking of https sites. This is great for ensuring no access to anything but safe websites with appropriate content. i think all guys should have filtered internet even if they have never had issues with the internet, but that's just my opinion. But, ever since I chose

  • Logos and retina pro? Developer and user questions

I am interested in buying a retina MacBook pro. But before I do I want to know if logos will work well on that hi-res screen. Do any of the developers own one or are there plans on making logos tweaked to work on that screen? Its only a matter of time before more macs have retina screens, but non retina optimized programs can look worse than on non

  • Re: "Learn to Use Biblical Greek and Hebrew" video series

I just watched one of them fully download, and it said "decompression failed," so their must be a glitch in the package or something, which further validates my desire for the actual discs. (of course just because they haven't said anything yet doesn't mean that they wont send us discs or give us the option to order them, so I am not complaining, I

I found version 2 videos under my order summary under my account page for logos. The video sizes are really large, about 10 gigs for the three videos, so I think this is the full complete updated videos. I am trying to download the first one now. I hope they also ship us the videos though too, the video downloads take hours because they are so large

  • Re: when will mac specific video tutorials show up?
Many of the visual elements of the Mac product are far from complete, which means that any videos we produced now would soon become obsolete. When the visuals are done, we'll begin work on videos.
so, now that the visuals are done, can we expect to see some videos specific to the mac version? I know one user has

  • Re: Logos 4 for Mac video on Youtube

thanks for the video, I have been waiting a long time for people to start making videos that are specific to the mac version. it is helpful to see how other people use the product and not just get an overview of features that aren't demonstrated in a real life workflow. if you ever want to dive deeper with any future videos that would be great too.

  • Re: "Learn to Use Biblical Greek and Hebrew" video series

those two updates are not what I was referring to, there are far more glitches in editing than two videos. Bob Pritchett gave a post saying that in August completely updated videos with fixed editing would be available and would be shipped to customers for free. Those two video updates were only because they gave wrong information regarding the alphabets

I was wondering the same thing, I haven't even started watching the videos because from the first video I saw so many glitches that I seemed too hard to follow along without getting distracted by the editing issues. Now that August is over with no news, I would love an accurate update as to where they are at and when we can expect a more finalized and

  • Re: Beta 7 still crashing on start

mine used to have that problem, with beta 6, but with the new beta it was fixed so it logs in fine without using the "offline mode". There is still a stutter with the audio chime on startup, but it opens fine.

  • Re: B6 crashes when starting

hold down the command key right after clicking to open the program and you will have the option of using the program "offline" This fixes the issue, at least until they really fix it, which I am sure it will be the next beta. But, because the last beta came out on a thursday, which was not the normal monday, I don't know when the next one will be out

  • beta 6 crash on launch

I just updated to beta 6. At first it wanted to reindex and that took 15 minutes, but once it was done and I tried to launch the program it logged in showed the home screen for a brief moment, just long enough to read beta 6 at the top, and then it crashed. I tried restarting as well as reinstalling beta 6 and neither of them worked. It still instantly
Guys... I think we are missing the forrest for the trees. Let's try this.... I have listed my questions numerically. (1) Was Logos 3 ever completed? Did Logos stop development of Logos 3 for Mac? If I remember correctly... If in fact Logos did halt development of L3... I seem to remember the reason was to put all energy into L4
Looks like the app ran out of memory trying to malloc. Since we're 32-bits, this happens at around 2.37 GB of Active Memory used. Any idea how you got the app into that scenario?
I am correct in guessing the the reason why it is 32 bit and not 64 is because of the sharing of most code between the mac and pc versions

  • Re: 2-week beta schedule no longer?
I am guessing we can expect a new beta today because the beta 3 release notes are now buried in the third page of the forum instead of the at the top of the first page. I have also been wondering about the frequency of releases, it seems it can be expected once a week now, with an occassional release sooner than once a week
