• Re: 2-week beta schedule no longer?

I am guessing we can expect a new beta today because the beta 3 release notes are now buried in the third page of the forum instead of the at the top of the first page. I have also been wondering about the frequency of releases, it seems it can be expected once a week now, with an occassional release sooner than once a week if certain features need

  • Re: when will mac specific video tutorials show up?
Are there differences between the two versions that prevent the current videos being suitable for Mac users? I assumed that the functionality was the same, and that Logos would be saving development efforts by one producing one set of training/documentation.
The current logos videos do give an overview of various

  • Re: "check for updates" menu option
Again, as lovely as it would be to have the ability to provide everything that each user wants, the reality is that our capacity is limited, and saying "yes" to this would mean saying "no" to other things that have a larger impact on a greater number of users. Enhancements to the update mechanism have to take a back seat

  • Re: "check for updates" menu option

the only reason why its not in apple's mail program is because all apple software is updated through the apple menu at the top left of the screen, where you can manually search for updates, but yes that is also automatic in searching every so often for new updates. But, most non-apple software does have a "search for update" option somewhere in its

  • Re: when will mac specific video tutorials show up?

you have been such an asset to the blog that I think you would be perfect for a series of videos. I know logos probably won't create videos for demoing real life workflow for the software anyway, so even once logos does make feature explanation videos your videos will still be quite helpful. thanks for your quick reply so that my post didn't get buried

  • when will mac specific video tutorials show up?

I am aware that the video tutorials for the pc are similar to the mac and should translate well for mac users, but as a mac user I would still highly prefer videos that actually use the mac software in order to teach or demonstrate features. I don't remember when or which blog it was, but at some point someone, I think one of the developers, had mentioned

  • Re: Copy Bible tab pop-up is off-screen

Yep, that issue has been around since the copy bible feature was added a few months ago, which means that they know about it, but because there is such an easy workaround, that you have already figured out, it will show up eventually, but its probably not top priority.

  • Re: Beta round the corner?

It seems that the logos mac team has stepped it up a notch by releasing updates so much closer together than their previously normal two week cycle (WAY TO GO!). This would make me further believe that beta will come sooner than later, maybe within the next month........ I read in some post that there will be mac specific videos made, but will that

  • Re: A sincere "thanks" for the Mac version

I agree and want to voice my own thanks. I think we are all eagerly awaiting beta and keep asking for hints as to when it will come, but at the end of the day we are all quite thankful for such a high quality software for the mac. If it wasn't for the team that is working hard day after day to build the software we would be stuck with quickverse, and

  • Re: Beta round the corner?

I agree with you guys. I think the alpha process will take a couple more alphas before it hits beta, but that is quite exciting because we seem to almost be there. I just wish it was there when I was in Bible School. I just graduated in May and I did use the alpha for my last final project of 15 sermons, but it would have been nice to have had a fully

  • Xcode 4 and its impact on logos 4 Mac

Can anyone tell me how Xcode 4 will affect mac development of logos? I remember reading a post somewhere how the software available on the windows side was quicker or easier to use than Xcode. Does this new update change any of this? Its not officially on apple's website yet, but I read an article on appleinsider.com, so I am not sure when it will be

  • Re: can someone update this list?

the only reason why I wanted the list updated is because from looking at the release notes it seems that we are only a few features away from beta, especially because the last alpha at least started implementing four of the six not yet implemented features (referencing that list anyway). I realize no one wants to estimate when it will hit beta, but

  • can someone update this list?

This list of implemented features was last updated on Alpha 18, can anyone update it so I can see clearly what is left to implement? Does it transition to beta once everything is at least partially implemented? If this is true I would think that we are only 2 or 3 alphas away from beta.

A20 is already here, so you can stop chanting, but without the release notes I am not sure what features will or won't be present. I haven't downloaded it yet, so I haven't had the chance to poke around.

  • A19 BUG: bible search no longer works !!

I was happily working on some sermons for class when I updated to the latest A19. Once it downloaded I tried to continue my work by doing a simple bible search for a phrase and I found out that it no longer works. It says "0 results" no matter what I search for and no matter what the search criteria are. In an attempt to fix this I downloaded A19 fresh

  • Re: copy bible verses bug or missing feature?

I realize what the problem is, but my question was if there was a way to customize the copy bible verse feature to output a specific font so that I don't have to change that later in the word processor? Currently I can customize the output for many other things except a font change, so it would make sense if they fixed this in a future build. My second

  • copy bible verses bug or missing feature?

I went to the wiki and saw that I can customize the text to be italicized and bold, which I have done, but can I customize it to paste as a certain font? When I copy it into pages now it pastes as a helvectica font even though the document is times new roman. I changed the default font for logos to times new roman, but it still pastes as helvectica

I want to ask a question that takes it one step further. When I copy it into pages now it pastes as a helvectia font even though the document is times new roman. If I paste and match style it rightly goes

how would someone know that keyboard command without asking for it in a forum? • Re: Should I Beta 5 or not Beta 5?

what is the difference between the Beta 9 and 4.0a SR-3? Aren't they both logos 4? Are the new features first put in beta to test before released to the general public? I understand what beta testing is, I just don't understand why there would be two versions of logos 4. thanks, jason
