• Re: How does spell checking work in notes?

Spell checking works when you leave a word, either by pressing space or enter or by moving the cursor to another word. Note that we do not currently have support for UK English so if the language of the text in your note is set to UK English (you can check this by selecting the text and clicking the globe icon), we are not spell checking that text since

I have implemented a fix for this internally, but I don't know when it will be shipping publicly yet (it will likely ship in a beta build before shipping to the stable channel). We will update this thread when it does ship publicly. Thank you!

  • Re: Selecting verses to copy
The beta channel is essentially the pre-release phase of the stable channel. New releases cannot be pushed out to stable until they've been through the whole beta testing cycle. There is a slight risk that in introducing some of the changes during the beta testing phase (even if it's just to fix bugs), something else might

The instructions should be updated now. My dad hasn't worked there in quite some time, so I'm not sure he would recognize you :)

Haha, yes, it appears we do. It's been a long time, but I went to all of high school there and did a year of part-time studies at the college as well (my dad used to teach in the seminary and college). Thanks for explaining what happened. I will talk to the appropriate people to have the instructions updated accordingly. Thank you!

I'm glad you were able to run the tool successfully. I've received your log files including the sampling data and we will take a look at it. Thanks for sending it in!

  • Re: BUG: Selection Glitch (6.1 b2 Mac 10.10.2)

I'm sorry. I have not been able to reproduce the issue again. If I remove my fix (which shipped in beta 4), I can reproduce the issue immediately, so I am at a loss as to what you are experiencing. If you are still seeing this on beta 4/5, can you take another screencast? Again, sorry for this and I hope we can get it sorted out soon.

I'm sorry you're still experiencing the issue. I will take another look when I get in tomorrow. Just double-checking: are you running 6.1 Beta 4 or higher?

  • Re: Prayer list operations are sloooow

Hi David, Thank you for reporting this issue. To help us diagnose what is causing the slowness, can you follow the instructions here: https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/mac/problem . In particular, make sure you use the "Sample" button (instruction 3 in Step 3) while you are experiencing the slowness in prayer lists. Once you have your log files with

Hi Francis, I am the developer who worked on this performance tool. I can't seem to figure out what is going on or reproduce the behavior you are seeing and unfortunately, Microsoft's documentation on their xperf tool (which is what our tool uses under the hood) is not the greatest, particularly when it comes to error -1073blahblahblah ;). I would love

  • Re: Spell Check

Aaron, can you get one other piece of information for me? If you highlight "Paul and his fellow woskers" and click the globe icon in the toolbar, what language is selected? Can you also check the language for some of the text you pasted where spell-checking worked (say "if the entence of death")?

  • Re: Spell Check

I am not aware of any recent change in spell checking's functionality. Can you please provide some more context to the issue you are seeing? Is this when you are taking notes? If you could take a screencast (Jing is a great tool to do so: http://www.techsmith.com/download/jing/ ) or screenshot of the issue occurring, that would be very helpful in tracking

Thank you for reporting this. To help us understand what is going on, can you follow the instructions here: https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/mac/problem The important thing to do is to click the "Sample" button in the Logos Logging Utility while you are experiencing slow down in Logos. Once you've done that, you can follow the rest of the instructions
When you go to highlight a section of text, it only lets you highlight the first word and then opens a dictionary to tell you what that word meant. Not really interested in its meaning, just want to highlight a section of text.
This happens when you double-click on a word (and is the intended functionality

I see that you linked to this thread from another thread describing an issue that looks to be the same problem. As I stated there, I have implemented a fix that will ship in an upcoming release. Once that ships, please let me know if this issue is still occurring and I will be happy to investigate it further. Thanks!
