Thanks Graham. If sending logs is what's needed then so be it. It's just a little tedious back and forth since I'm very busy currently. I know we are all busy. That's why we need tools that just work. I will try reinstalling some other time. i don't have time to mess with it right now. thanks

  • Update error

Unfortunately I can't remember the time I opened up Logos and was able to use it without some kind've problem. For this reason I've moved to other platforms. So when L6 came out I thought let's give it a try. After the initial update it says there's another update. Okay. I downloaded that one and tried to install. Then a dialog box comes up and says

  • Good grief Logos has crashed nearly every time I've tried to use it in the last several years.

Not kidding. I hardly even have the patience or desire to troubleshoot. Thanks and that is all.

  • Does everyone have issues with L5 for Mac or just a select few

The reason I ask is because I literally have crashes and hangups every time there is an update. I have turned off updates and then 6 months or so will go by and I'll think surely it's more stable now. I re-enable auto updates and it starts crashing immediately. It was the same on L4. Is this just a problem I'm having or are others in the same boat.

  • Always indexing but not actually indexing...

On my mac after the recent update, I have a logos icon in my task bar that says indexing when I click on it. It is not progressing. Is there an easy way to help the process reboot or get started? Thanks.

  • Re: Selling Logos 4 rather than upgrading to Logos 5

Great replies guys. Thanks. The phone help did tell me that I would need to purchase Gold to have the feature set of L5. That's what was bugging me. Hopefully the cross-grade option will suffice. DMB- you are right. We are not helpless. We do feel very dependent on Logos and their cloud. Maybe that's a better way of stating it. Halo- the salivating

  • Re: Selling Logos 4 rather than upgrading to Logos 5

To the OP: I'm with you on this. I cannot express, without being probably a little sinful, how disappointed I am with this company. I was told that if I want the standard features of the upgraded engine I need to purchase the new gold for around $500. Funny though, the phone support didn't even mention the cross-grade option. With a company like Logos

  • Re: Wow Logos on the Mac is so sub-par

This (previous post) was very helpful in explaining my thoughts. Well said! In my church we have people who have walked away from Logos bc it doesn't work well on a mac. We are closely connected with a seminary and have an internship program, training CP'ers, Pastors, and missionaries. It doesn't look well when they are emailing distribution groups

Wow. It seems like rebuilding my index dramatically sped up Logos in all areas. it is running much better right now.

  • Re: Indexing issues

Thanks guys for the feedback. Logos is at 99% indexing. Almost done. Yay. I will see what happens when I reboot/restart logos. It seems like a solved button would be beneficial for the forum threads.

ok. It is moving, but I was concerned that it was so slow. I guess it's been a long time since I've had to do the full index. Thanks for your help!

  • Help...

Hi everyone. Please see the forum post entitled "indexing issues" I was following up to my own post and it might look like there are others assisting me, but it's actually just me. I still need help. I apologize if this is an awkward way to seek help. I only have limited time to work on this, and I was hoping for some feedback this morning. TIA

wait for it... wait for it... yes. It looks like the index is building. It's very slow though. It's been stuck at 3% for a long time. Any advice?

Ok. I managed to enter the command rebuild index into the command bar without Logos crashing, but the indexer is still stuck at 0%. Any advice. I can post logs if it's necessary. I was just curious if there were some steps I could take on my own.

  • Indexing issues

Hi friends, it's not typical behavior for logos to appear in my menubar for the first 10 minutes after I start Mountain Lion and the indexer to run is it. The indexer is eating up important resources every time I start. I've got a very capable machine (late 2011 MBP 8gbs of ram) but still... The indexer doesn't progress beyond 0%. Also, the indexing

As the original poster, I must say this forum has taken a real life of its own. I hope no one is discouraged by the discussion. Logos has taken the platform in a direction for which I'm very excited. I am hopeful that they will get the bugs worked out. It's just too easy to fire off a forum post when you have to meet a deadline, the program doesn't

  • Re: sigh.... more problems with Logos (indexing)

That's helpful Jack. Thanks. i was just thinking that Logos should create an app that makes easy work of getting the logs since it's usually needed for troubleshooting.

I have forgotten, but I have done it before. I guess I'll need to go read a wiki somewhere.
