• Re: Error or Bug: Logos Bible Software Setup: The Installation of Logos Bible Software did not succeed

Logos 6 has a new feature where it downloads and installs updates in the background, while Logos is running. These include updates to resource and updates to the Logos application itself . The error message that you're experiencing is the result of a failure when installing the latest application update. While your current Logos installation is working
However, the first time I attempted your fix I had a space between Remote and Signed and it did not work.
That is unfortunate that the rendering of RemoteSigned in the forum post appears to have a space in it, in fact it does not! I suppose remotesigned would not have that issue and would work just as well. I'm glad it

  • Re: Installation Issue: No warning when Setup Waits

Dave, There is an issue where the bootstrapper sees the Logos.exe instance (your stable build) running in the other Windows user account, and assumes it's the shutting-down beta instance. This is a really unusual situation. We have a case for it, though it's a low priority... As a work around, you could shut down the stable version of Logos, or log

We've created a Windows PowerShell script (the modern equivalent of a Command Prompt batch file) to register Logos COM and Logos Smart Tags for 32 bit Office. On most Windows versions, PowerShell comes with script execution disabled by default, so if you haven't already, you'll need to set the PowerShell execution policy to allow script execution, as

I'm sorry you continue to have trouble with the Smart Tags.
Installed 6.3 SR2. Went through Bryan's steps from his 1:04pm post. First 3 steps worked fine. Received an error (In italics below) when I get to step 4. The module L4SmrtTg.dll failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check

The /register feature allows one to register COM (used by Smart Tags) via the Logos Splash Screen application. To use it: Open a Command Prompt (hit the Windows key, then type command prompt and choose Command Prompt from the list. In the Command Prompt, type cd C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Local\Logos Enter, where You is your Windows user name. You can hit

    Dave,
This is likely due to the 6.3 beta uninstalling the 6.2 version of the Logos 6 Prerequisites. 6428.Verbum.zip Here's maybe a shot in the dark, but attached should be a file Verbum.zip. It contains the Logos.exe splash screen renamed as Verbum.exe. Could you please move your Verbum\Verbum.exe splash screen somewhere else, then extract this copy to your Verbum folder, then execute it? It should display the Logos 6 splash screen but run your Verbum

  • Re: [ACK] Upgrade to Beta 3 didn't install automatically

You are correct about the upgrade mechanism for Beta 2 (and Beta 3). Verbum registers the update with the splash screen application (Verbum.exe in your Verbum folder), then launches the splash screen to install the update. The splash screen asks if you want to upgrade and launches the VerbumSetup.exe if you choose "Yes." Since your splash screen application

Proclaim uses Microsoft's BITS (Background Intelligent Background Service) to download files. It would appear that your BITS isn't working properly... There is a Logos web page that discusses (among other things) resetting the BITS service--you might try that. https://www.logos.com/firewall Sorry for the trouble, hopefully that fixes it! Bryan

That's awful. We certainly want to investigate this. Could you please check your Temp folder for logs? If logging isn't enabled, the installer writes the log files to your temp folder's "Logos Log Files" folder (for example, "C:\Users\you\AppData\Local\Temp\Logos Log Files"). Thanks, Bryan
