Here is an update after a few weeks of observation: I still have issues with the resource positions in version 1.7.1. I opened today a book on my iPhone and was approximately 20 pages behind even though this book was never opened on my PC. It is a bit frustrating! Armin

Thanks, Brent. I had upgraded to 1.7.1 and when I opened one book right after upgrading, it was at the wrong page. But thinking about it, I realize that it has not yet reoccurred since then. But then, it previously also occurred only sporadically. Let's see. I will find out over the next few days. Armin

  • Resource positions

Hi, I love it that Logos keeps adding great features to the iOS app. My main reason for buying an iPhone (as opposed to a phone with a different OS) was the Logos app. However, I still have issues with the resource positions. For instance, when I read a book on the iPhone when I am offline and then go back to continue reading the book a few days later
Logos is the one and only reason I would purchase an iPad. It seems the safest thing to do is wait until July and see what happens.
Same here: I only bought an iPhone so that I can have Logos on it.
Apple may be able to make them pull the app, but I do not believe that this will affect logos

Can anybody explain the pros and cons of using collections vs. tags? For instance, should I tag all apologetic books with the tag apologetics, or should I use a collection that contains all apologetic books? Armin
I still wish these were available as electronic resources (as an option).
That is the irony: A manual on how to use an electronic library is not available in electronic format! This manual should just be another Logos book. Armin
I have been able to successfully download every resource mentioned in this thread. The issue seems to be with the device going to sleep. For best results when downloading many or large resources, make sure you're on WiFi, leave your device plugged into a power source and don't lock it. We have an update in the works that makes

I have the same problem with some resources. BTW, I also cannot read the "Free Preview". Can any of you? Armin

  • Remembering the last location in a resource

Hi, I love having offline books on my iPhone. However, I have the following problem fairly regularly: When I read a book and later on want to continue reading from the place I stopped,Logos on the iPhone opens the resource on a very different page. I then have to try to figure out how far I read last time. This happens even if I don't use this resource

  • Good 1-Volume Bible Commentary for iPhone

Hi, I am looking for a good 1-Volume Bible commentary that is available for download on the iPhone. I had hoped for the Bible Knowledge Commentary (BKC) but it is not available for the iPhone. Do you have any recommendations? Armin

Back to the NIV question: I realized just a few days back that the NIV license that I have for Laridian PocketBible on my Windows Mobile device is also valid for the iPhone. I am very happy! I wonder why this does not work for Logos.

Praiser, Logos should pay you a commission. Your write-up convinced me to go for the Master Collection even though I voiced my concern about the partial collections in other threads. Armin

  • Re: Logos asks, what do you wish you could search for, but can't?

For me, the more important kind of search is not a more specific search. I often wished that searching in Logos would be similar to searching the Internet with Google: I just type a search and get the right results. Armin

  • Using Logos 4 and Libronix

Hi, I have one computer that runs Logos 4 and has all my current resources as they are automatically downloaded. But I also have an old computer that runs Libronix / Logos 3. However, this computer does not have my recent resources. How can I get Libronix to recognize my recent purchases? Do I just sync the license file and it will get all the licenses
I like value, which is why I own the Portfolio collection. It's one of the reasons my interest was piqued at the new Christmas deals...and I mean "piqued" in both the positive and negative senses. I looked at the Master Collection, because that's the best value. I noticed almost immediately that it's loaded with titles I already

give one volume of a two volume commentary on Psalms? Give two of five volumes of A History of the Jewish people in the Time of Christ? Give the 4th volume of five of The Encyclopedia of Christianity? Give nine of 21 volumes of Horae.. (and it's even public domain!)? What kind of thinking is this?
