• Re: temporary license expiration

If it is something like one of the MobileEd classes that you can get a 6 month temporary license for through having a LOGOSConnect subscription, look at your purchase history. It will tell you the purchase date on your receipt and just figure a rough 6 month calculation from there. See my receipt below... Mine will end around the 1st of May. That's

  • Re: bug in product demo video
I can confirm this issue. The video is interrupted mid-sentence. The full video is available here tough:
Yes I had seen this, however, the video on the main product page also cuts short. If you play it out to the full 1:40 it clearly cuts out mid sentence

  • bug in product demo video

I noticed that the video demo'ing the Lexham Bible Dictionary in the LOGOS store stops/breaks after 40 seconds. It appears that it is suppose to be around 1:39. This is using the Safari browser. I also tried using Firefox as well as Chrome and the video appears to play with out issue, however at 1:39 the video still stops and it is clear that the announcer

  • Re: Prayer in the Church Fathers - A request for help from Catholic/Orthodox brothers and sisters.

I'm no expert on LOGOS searches but I would think that doing a Passage Guide Search/Study on John 16:23 just might return hits on some of the resources you do have by the church fathers (assuming that they had anything to say on the matter/topic. for example... 4. Hitherto in this section of the Gospel, whereon we are discoursing to-day, the tenor of

  • Re: Update asks for admin login; uninstalled, new install same

Sometimes (often! ) when Windows installs an update, the update process resets the UAC (User Account Control) settings. You can check to see where the level is currently set. When you click on the start menu type UAC and press ENTER. You will see a dialog box something like this... If the setting is one of the top three, Windows WILL ask you for permission

  • Re: Asia Bible Commentary Series .... who's buying and why?

Thank you to every one who responded. I decided to go ahead and pick up the series. My hope is that it will give me a somewhat different take on the scripture covered. Different being something other than the standard slant I have always received from my Mid-Western (U.S.) pentecostal (AoG/CoG) perspective. I already have a number of commentaries from

  • Asia Bible Commentary Series .... who's buying and why?

I was looking through the pre-pubs that are soon to be released and found The Asia Bible Commentary Series . I was wondering who all has (or is going to) made the move to purchase the series and why? What do you think of the series and what do you expect it to bring you? I am thinking of picking it up to have a non-western point of view (as it were

  • Re: Facebook Community Standards

I tried to post a week or two ago to the LOGOS Tips & Tricks FB Page and also had my post rejected for community standards in regard to Spam... It was a simple to a LOGOS website page for on of the sales. Just a few posts below mine were also posts to other LOGOS site sales. I requested a review and never heard a thing back. I just let it drop.

  • Re: New Line on Slide without Slide Break

I do not use Proclaim but in "some" editors a soft line return (Shift-Enter) will add a new line instead of creating a new slide... just an idea and easy to test...

  • Re: AYBC Sale... help picking some

Honestly, it appears to be more of a section by section. When he is writing about something from a specific verse, the verses address is handled parenthetically given at the end of his discussion. e.g. The Kingdom of the Lord (11:15–19) John prefaces the blowing of the seventh trumpet with the warning that “woe” is coming; but in predictably

Rick, I found that I have his (Koster's) 1st edition in Logos. An example, the section for Rev 3:14-22 on Laodicea is 4 paragraphs long about 2 pages. The Anchor Yale edition is some 10 pages long and includes a couple photos of some period coins. If you would like a specific example I can try to provide it for you. Roy

  • Re: AYB 1 Corinthians question

you might check out the Talmud (Shabbat). I remember looking around one time in the Talmud and found that there was a lot of concern about transferring something from on e persons hand to another's on the Sabbath. This would be considered work in some instances. Maybe this is where such a prohibition comes from? (Not meant to be a discussion on doctrine

  • Re: Does This Mean We Are Losing Our Free Original Starting March 1, 2019?

Ben, Thank you for clarifying... For the record, I for one have no real issues with this change. I don't need FLC for the LOGOS feature sets, I have 'em already. I am in it for the discounts and the free stuff. From 2 books a month to three... Great! The "Originals" selection was a bit sparse for me as I usually ended up having a fair number of them

Mark made a Personal Book which he made available on the Files sectvion of the forums called... The Dictionary of Christianity and the Bible. It had a large number of hits when searching for "Indulgence". Heres the link....

I found the same thing and "thought" the same, but found that the version I have is a "Revised" version of BI101. The link in the work flow points to the original (?) version.

  • Re: Question about doctrinal prooftexts

You can also try searching the LOGOS website for resources with "perspectives on" or "Views on" as part of the title. There are a number or resources like that on various topics.

  • Re: Question about doctrinal prooftexts

The Church I currently attend, their national / denominational / official website has a "What we believe" section which provides scripture for each doctrine. Perhaps the denominations you are researching have something similar?

  • Re: Logos. I give up.

David, I'm not sure if I can share the web site's address on the forums but there is a Mac parts vendor that sales all things Mac including the SSD drives *AND* a kit that includes all of the "Special" tools you would need to do the swap out yourself. They also have extensive video help showing the process. A little bit of googling will find them.
