Has anyone ever bought the Learning Logos discs from LearnLogos.com? I have been using Logos for about a year now. I feel I am fairly adept at the basic use of it but now, with the language discs I am inspired to learn every inch of it in order to really enhance by bible study and sermon prep. Is it worth the price? And there is no way I am going to

  • Re: my drop-down menus & popup boxes are transparent

Okay, this just happened to me last night. I am running L4 on Win 7-64 in Parallels on two, almost identical iMacs. The one at the office started exhibiting behavior described in the original post. The one at home is fine. Transparent menus. Not all of them. I switched to 16 bit color and that seems to have fixed it. Any other suggestions as to what

  • Re: virtualized window 7: 64 or 32 bit?

Mike, based on what you are seeking from what you have given, it seems that you have already answered your question. Based on your bullets, there is no reason to run 64. I run 64 in Parallels. That is all I run in the vm. I occasionally run Powerpoint (maybe three times in 10 months). I have never run into a situation where I needed 32. Then again,

  • Re: Logos Resource Catalog

That is quite an endeavor. Thank you. I too enjoy catalogues. I would be interested in the rest if you get around to compiling it. I enjoy browsing it that way. It seems difficult or rather unintuitive to browse using the web site. Maybe it is just me.

I will throw Curio in there as my 2¢ worth. It is Mac only and is more than just mind mapping.

  • Re: Walk me through the process of running Logos 4 (pc version) on my mac

You can also use a virtual environment from Sun Microsystems called VirtualBox (runs inside Mac OS X). It seems to be decent but is limited. The plus for it is that it is free. You can find all sorts of deals on the web for a discounted copy of Parallels of Fusion. I have driven both over a period of time with Logos 4 and find that the current version

  • Re: Some videos won't play on my iPad.

I encountered the same problem. The native video size is larger than what the iPad will support but for some reason some of the files still seem to work. Very wierd. I would be interested if others have some insight.

I too had a huge problem with the language discs. Finally got the material onto my HD. I am not sure if I should call and get a replacement or not for future storage.

  • Re: Passage Tagging

I will vote for this feature. Alternatively, if highlighting is the best we can do for now, I would like to be able to open a tab or window and select a highlight kind and have the window display all text with that highlighting in a particular resource or among all resources. Without having to do a search. If this already exists, I have not discovered

  • Likin' the Mac alpha

I am very pleased with the Mac L4 alpha progress. Of course I would like it to be done, however I am very thankful for the bi-weekly alpha releases. It is getting very close for me to use daily. Once Notes and Clippings are fully implemented I will be able to use it more often than the Windows version (thank goodness). I really like the look and feel

  • Re: ---unless it's notes!

For me, outlining would be super, linking to resources in and out of Logos seems a must, tables ... I don't really care. Above all, however, I cannot use the internal Logos note system, which I would love to use, until I can print and export. I simply cannot have my notes locked in a place where I cannot do other things with them. I am not a "power

  • Re: A20 Copy Bible Verses command Paste into Pages works but not Paste into Keynote

Yes, thank you for the Pages integration. I also noted that the Copy Bible Verses panel does not fill completely towards the top (see attached pic). I was also wondering if it is possible to copy verses to Keynote and have the text automatically flow over multiple slides. If not, is there an app for that?

  • Re: highlight iPhone reading?

I would also like to put a vote in for highlighting on the iPad/iPhone app. It is almost a must have now that I am beginning to use the app more for reading. Notes would be nice too but highlighting is a must. Thanks.

  • Re: pop-ups full display

The pop-ups are nice for in line references and "sneak peaks" at text, but please get rid of or allow a way to turn off pop up panels for books in lists, ie. the Library , collections, etc. It is simply annoying and more often than not it gets in the way.

I am hoping someone can explain what the difference is between the Cited By tool and the Passage Guide tool. They seem to be almost the same and I do not se the usefulness of the Cited By tool. Thank you.

  • Features - Good and Bad

First, I am happy with the progress the team is making on Logos 4 Mac. I would like to say thank you in particular that the little summary window for every book does not pop up every time you hover the pointer over a book as it does in the Windows version. That is very annoying and distracting. I wish we could turn that off. I am also thankful that
