• Re: Any Recommendations on being "a man of God"

One of the best I have read is Criswell's Guidebook for Pastors. Unfortunately, it is not available from Logos. http://www.amazon.com/Criswell-Guidebook-For-Pastors-W/dp/0805423605

Just for comparison sake: I repeated your actions opening Logos 6 to Home page and then opening Romans 8:28 and then opening a Study Bible and it took me 1.03 minute to be fully operational.

  • Re: How to copy a Bible verse

It would be helpful to have a keyboard shortcut that would copy to the clipboard a formatted verse(s) from a Bible or a search result. I would use that shortcut frequently if it were available.

  • Re: Search results automatically into Copy Bible Verses formatter into clipboard for pasting...
Is there any shortcut key that you can hold down while clicking on a search result so that instead of it loading the resource, it just goes straight through the Copy Bible Verses formatter into the clipboard for pasting?
I find myself wanting that functionality frequently, but it is missing for some reason. What

  • Re: Every Day Bible & groups not ready for primetime!

Below is the email's wording that implies that the Every Day Bible app had a place for group comments. When I first started using the app that place for comments was there. Now a place for comments is no longer there, neither are the comments that I made. 2015 is almost here—it’s time to reflect on the things we’ve done this past year, and the things

Ryan Nelson has been on this for us. The problem seems to be with iPhone users just when starting to use the reading plan with our group. I however am still trying to figure what happened to the notes/comments I posted that seemed to have disappeared. There also doesn't seem to be a way to add notes anymore. The initial email that Faithlife sent out

  • Every Day Bible & groups not ready for primetime!

I've challenged our congregation to get involved in a daily Bible reading program this year using the Every Day Bible. Sadly we have had many problems with it. People have had to try numerous times to connect to our Church group before succeeding. I was told by one person - "I had to keep trying to connect over and over and eventually I succeeded".

  • Re: Which Mac laptop for Logos 6?

I know you already ordered your laptop and I believe you will be very happy with it. I will leave my 2 cents for the benefit of any others who might be considering entering into the realm of Mac. I have a late 2013 MBP with 2.8GHZ I7 with 16GB ram and a 1TB SSD drive which I picked up on the Apple Store's Refurbished site - saving about $600. I have

Thanks MJ, I was aware of the sorting and that definitely does help. But a journal would take Logos over the top.

  • Re: Personal Bible Journal

I agree that for me the Logos' Notes approach is not the ideal method for tracking personal notes related to Bible study. The problem lies not so much in the notes functionality but in the organization of the notes. For example, if I have one notes document for Bible study/journaling, that note document soon becomes to large to easily navigate through

  • Re: On the fence: Mac or Windows

As an MS Windows/IT Support Person with 20 years of work experience and as a Mac user for 8 years, "it just works" certainly reflects my reality and the reality of most of the Mac users that I know. I just came back from a sermon workshop where a majority of the pastors that attended had switched from Windows to Mac and were very happy with the results

Having eaten the grass on both sides of the fence. The grass is definitely greener on the Mac side. And my experience is definitely "it just works"! The only time I spend fixing computer issues is with my wife's Windows 7 laptop and my daughters Windows desktop - though admittedly Microsoft is improving. Logos works great on my Mac.

  • "Copy Bible Verses" needed on iPad

I need to copy and paste formatted scriptures to other programs on my iPad. I need verse reference included and note references removed. In Logos 5 this is made possible with the "Copy Bible Verses" function. Surely this would not be a hard addition to Logos on the iPad and it would add greatly to its usability. Other Bible apps do offer this, but I

  • Re: Google vs Logos

I agree with your sentiments completely. I find that Logos is great for plowing through the rich harvest fields of scripture. But often I find myself just wanting Logos to be nimble and quick, especially when I am working in a Word Document and need to do a quick scripture search and to copy and paste it into a Word document (which is something that

  • Re: Anyone notice that OneNote is now free?

I love OneNote - it is the one program that I miss from my pre-Mac life. There are a few features missing on the Mac version besides previously mentioned no local storage, which to me is not a big deal because I can still work in OneNote when I'm offline, once connected OneNote syncs to the cloud. However, there are some missing parts from the Windows

Switched to Mac in 2007 and have no regrets, no spyware and no restarts (well maybe once a month, just for kicks). Current setup is a 2010 Macbook Air with 4gb ram and 256gb SSD drive - best computer I have owned in 23 years of computing.
