  • Re: Switch from Windows to Mac

My 2 cents - I use Logos 5 on Mac and have no issues other than there is a slight lag when first clicking on the Documents, Guides, or Tools menu items, and an occasional freeze when exiting the program. Otherwise, the program is stable and the advantages of using a Mac far out way these small inconveniences.

  • Re: FREE book John MacArthur Strange Fire by mail

I have to agree with you completely! Westboro Baptist Church is 5 point Calvinist but we won't measure all Calvinists by the WBC's "Strange Fire"!

  • Mac Keyboard Shortcuts

Being a Mac user, I find Logos 5's keyboard shortcuts cumbersome to use. Many of the shortcuts involve pressing 3 keys (which for me requires two hands on keyboard and with bigger hands it requirers effort). Most Logos keyboard shortcuts seem to involve the use of "Command", "Shift" and some other key. The windows version, utilizes the alt key for keyboard

  • Re: Library columns in L5 for Mac?

Thanks for the help! That was the problem all the columns in the line view were deselected and there was nothing showing on my screen. Many thanks to all the posters (especially the stars) who volunteer their time and energy to help on these forums!

  • Library columns in L5 for Mac?

After watching Mark Barnes video on L5. I noticed that in my Mac L5 version ,in the library there are no columns. So I can't take advantage of some of the advance sorting and tagging features. Am I missing how to turn those features on and off - or have they just been left off of the Mac version?

  • Re: Wow Logos on the Mac is so sub-par

Chris, No I haven't tried L4 on the PC. I have thought about trying it through Parallels but haven't yet because I would prefer to stay in the Mac environment. My only performance issue is that it takes about 25 seconds for L4 to load once I start it up, compared to MS Word which takes only 2 seconds to load (as do most apps), so it makes the startup

Add mine to the voice of those who are having no stability problems or bug issues. I am running a macbook air with a SSD drive and have very few issues. If there is a way that Logos is sub-par for me, that would be because Logos can be a bit cumbersome and perhaps even tedious to use. My greatest wish for Logos is for UI (user interface) streamlining

I use Curio by Zengobi it works great for visual layout stuff. There is a little bit of a learning curb to master the program fully, but for sermon workups and for doing the types of things that you are looking to do - it works amazingly. There are videos and a free 15 day trial with an extra 60 days available here: http://www.zengobi.com/products/curio

  • Re: Mac help for Logos

It would be great if Logos put a keyboard shortcut that would allow for a formatted copy of a verse(s) of scripture to the keyboard for pasting into another program. I need do that 30 to 40 times a week. I would love it if there was a single step/shortcut to make that happen. I had an ancient copy of Quick Verse that with a would copy a formatted passage

  • Shortcut key to copy formatted verse(s) to clipboard

Is there a keyboard method of copying a selected verse(s) to the clipboard? This should be a formatted copy and not just a edit/copy (cmd c). If there is not... I would like to suggest that Logos make that available. Other Bible software programs I have used in the past had this feature available and I found it to be an effective and efficient way of

Thanks for the answer. It's good to see that it is on the future todo list. Meanwhile I will have to use my mouse; using the scroll wheel definitely is a little easier than point and click

  • No arrow key scrolling in a search result list

Maybe I am missing something, but, there seems to be no keyboard (arrow key) scrolling in a search results list. Arrow key scrolling seems to work in other Logos resources, but not in search results. To me, it is very inefficient to have to switch from the keyboard to the mouse just to scroll though a results list. I use the up and down arrow keys to

  • Re: delays in general navigation in logos4

I agree. It bothers me to point and click on a menu item, for example "File" and then wait for seconds for a response. I use many other programs and do not have this issue with any of them accept Logos. I expect to wait for a search and I am ok with that. But it bothers me to once the search is completed have the rolling beach ball while I try to scroll
