  • recent downloads list?

Logos 7 had a notification in the toolbar whenever something was downloaded. It's not there in Logos 8. Was that useful bit of UI moved, or re- moved? Thanks for any help!

Based on the lack of responses, I guess that's a big, "Not possible"... Be nice to have it confirmed by someone who knows, though!

  • Add "Saved Layout" to Dashboard?

Just getting started with Logos 8... On opening, there's a big blank space at the top of the page--my "Dashboard". Fun! I'd like to fill it in, but about the only thing I want to put in there are "Saved Layouts" and when I click + > Layout, all I'm offered are "Quickstart Layouts"--not "Saved Layouts". :-( Is this a bug or a feature? Alternately

  • Re: help find fishing boat illustration?

I found it... I searched Topic Guide for 'boats and ships' and found it in the BIBLICAL THINGS section.

  • help find fishing boat illustration?

Not too long ago a nice illustration of a fishing boat / fishing methods popped up on my Home screen. Does anyone know how to find something like that again? I've checked in Tools > All interactive resources, but didn't see anything likely there. I've also searched the library, but wasn't exactly swamped with hits (a mere 3...) Any help would be

  • UBS5 Greek NT doesn't scroll well as a linked text

UBS5 Greek NT doesn't scroll well as a linked text in the Android environment. It gets kind of close, but there's never a cigar... It works fine in Windows desktop. I don't know what the difference is, but it is impossible (yes, impossible--not merely difficult) to get the same verses in the left and right pane of a split screen when one of the versions

Thanks Graham. As I just noted above, I did an update and now I get 'Bible Word Study' as an option when I long press. But let me just check something else... • Re: Android: best way to search for Greek word in BDAG

To do this I needed WiFi turned on(!), as I kept getting a quick flash of 'Mobile network not connected'. Then, when it completed the search I got three lines greyed out: Definition, Hebrew words, Greek words, and a final line that says, "This report works best with Logos Bible Software 7. Visit logos.com for more information." I did an update (v. 5

NASB has reverse interlinear on the desktop, but I can't figure out how to make is show in Android. As for initiating Bible Word Study, do you mean from the Home panel? All I get from that is a blank screen... :-( There is a word in the upper left corner that I can click and pretend to type a new word in, but no matter what I type it always reverts

Thanks for chiming in, Graham. Your tip about the 'table of contents' was helpful. Still took a bit of digging to figure it out, but I finally found it by: pressing once in the BDAG screen area for the 'tools' to appear (Menu, Star, Edit, Clipboard, etc., on the top and 'blue slider' on the bottom) press Menu (the first icon; four stacked lines) for

Hmmm... Maybe there's a reason no one has responded yet--what I'm trying to do is difficult enough that no one uses BDAG on their mobile device. [bump]

  • Android: best way to search for Greek work in BDAG

I have BDAG on my Android tablet and phones, but find it near to impossible to search BDAG for a Greek wordform... It's a piece of cake on the 'desktop' platform, but a real challenge (for me) on the mobile platform. How do others do this?

Currently I see this: But I don't ever refer to LGENT (a Spanish lexicon). However, if I unselect 'Strong's Number': LGENT disappears from the Information pane and gives me more 'useful' information at the bottom: I ask about another way because it seems a bit drastic to have to turn off 'Strong's Number' to get rid of a (different language) resource

Thanks, Mark. I wouldn't have known to force 'Settings' to appear by hovering my mouse on the 'Definition' (or other) title bar. Another hidden gem! So it looks like I can only show / hide resources in Settings, not prioritize them. Is that correct? If so, I figured out which resource set to 'hide' to get rid of the lexicon I don't want to see (a Spanish

  • Prioritize lexicons in Information pane

I have prioritized my lexicons in Library > Prioritize. However, when I click a word in a Bible and it opens in Information > Definition, there is a lexicon there that is not in my 'priority' list--and it is above others that are in the list... Where do I control what shows in the Information pane? Thanks for any help, Paul
