• 2 iPad app questions.

I was able to justify an iPad and got one. Somehow, I split the book which I was reading into 2 separate panes when I was moving it. I was able to figure out how to merge it back, but since the split was by accident, I don't know what I did. How does one open a book or 2 distinct books on the iPad app? Although Notes would be nice, I would like highlights
Where in my Logos 4 program can I find the best answer to the contention that John 1:1 refers to "a" god as opposed to "The" God?
There is a collection gathering interested which contains books on original languages. A few of them deal with John and the greek style in writing attributed to him. Check out the first
I think the 128GB will be fine. Do you think the processor (1.4 or 1.86 depending on size) will run Logos well? I like where Apple is going with the Macbook Air and I like that this one is priced well.
That is for the 11". The 13" is faster -- up to 2.13. Not like my iMac, but good enough for using -- after indexing
so I'm definitely not a "scholar."
Yet. My degree is in computer science and don't have the bible college degree. However, this is not stopping me from learning biblical greek. So, upgrade and then start using the original language resources -- meaning the grammars and various things to learn them. The journey is

  • Re: Logos HD (feature requests)

thanks much. hopefully, it will change next year. iPad would be a wonder way to use Logos away from a workstation, but not being able to open more than one book is a show stopper for me.

  • Re: Logos HD (feature requests)

Does the iPad app not allow more than one book to be open now? I like the idea of iPad for mobility and to solely use it for Logos. But, I use the iPhone app now and am leaning to a MacBook since I know I can get all the features that I need. Questions: is the iPad app just a larger version of the iPhone app or are there more features in the iPad app

  • Re: Learning the Greek Language.....

This is the plan which I'm following; I purchased from AMG Spiros Zodhiates-narrated Hadjiantoniou grammar a long time ago. I actually started using it about a year and half ago. This grammar is available in electronic form with Logos, as well as the workbook. The grammar is written by a Greek man and the pronunciation is modern Greek. From AMG, you

  • Re: How do I Undo or Delete a Highlight

That worked. There used to be a button to click as well until the latest release. I'm hoping it returns in Monday's update.

  • Highlighting questionable behavior.

Behavior: Applying a foreground highlight to text with an italicized word wipes out the italics. Expectation: Pen characteristics, which do not compete, would be merged. Foreground highlight would have been applied over the text, preserving the italicized text of the original document text. If the original document had applied a color other than black

Oh, that "form" column! Some of these things I don't get since I'm not yet as advanced with the software as I'd like to be and won't get a chance to study it until October or so. But, I can see how I can make use of this now. I like that list. The graphs are pretty, but with this I can scroll down and see a lot of information at once. Gimme. Now.

  • Re: Alpha 22.1 - crashes during shutdown

This is when mine started, too. I updated yesterday and never had any problems with L4 crashing. I thought it was a one-time thing given what I was doing at the time. Now, I can only exist with a forced shutdown.

Apple has made WWDC videos available in iTunes U. Xcode updates are a part of it. I'm downloading them now. http://developer.apple.com/videos/wwdc/2010/ on edit: added link.

This is so good .... In the Mac version, you can create highlights now. The Mac team could have taken a month off after adding that feature IMHO.

  • Re: A 20 - some highlight tools do not work

cmd-k does work. However, so should reclicking the already selected highlight. It should execute the same code as cmd-k. I had to come back to the site to see what the keyboard shortcut is for it to get it to work. Not a fan of having to touch the keyboard to give the shortcut when I'm just reading. If this is not a bug, it should be rethought.

You should go, regardless. I went when it was offered near me. I rented a machine. It was a good time. I had Libronix at the time and wasn't aware of the things that can be done with it. I'm waiting for Logos 2 to be scheduled near me.

Oh, very good. This will be helpful in studying Greek vocabulary words. I can study them in context of scripture (complete sentences). Much better than flash cards. And, since I just got to nouns of the third declension last night, your example is timely.
