• [resolved] Cannot start new reading plans

Greetings, When attempting to start a new reading plan, predetermined or custom, after saving the plan it instantly jumps to, "Reading plan finished!" I've tried several different alterations of creating a plan and no matter what I do the sidebar on my home page always shows the reading plan as finished. Anyone know if this is an issue? • Re: Need advice: 30% off BECNT, good buy?

I'm also curious if this is one of the better prices. This is one of the oldest sets on my wish list, I don't recall it ever really being on sale.

Adding my +1 in here. Would be nice to stay in one tool.

That would certainly move me to pick it up. Over $100 puts me on the fence.

  • Searching library for subjects

Hi all, Can someone provide some tips on how to search your library for specific subjects? I'm attempting to create some generic collections (i.e theology, apologetics, church history) but the search bar in the library pane doesn't seem to be working the way I would think. For instance, if I type: "subjects:apologetics" I get 0 results returned, yet

Ah! Now don't I feel foolish :) Well, I guess to maintain the usefulness of this thread, what are the general tips for building subject based collections? Is it sufficient to just search the subject category, or should I use other identifiers to? Thanks!

  • Re: Which package (v8) excites you most?

Well the rep wasn't able to butter me up to Ultimate, but I ended up with Reformed Portfolio, Standard Portfolio, Baptist Gold, and Lutheran Silver. I think the Reformed Portfolio is still the top package in L8 in terms of resources/price. The Works of Jonathan Edwards alone is amazing.

  • Duplicate licenses

Hi all, Please don't take this in a negative light, more of constructive feedback for those who find themselves in this situation. I had a kind soul who was retiring from ministry transfer over his entire Logos library to my account a few months back. At the time we had exported our libraries and compared to see if there was duplicates. Indeed we found

  • Re: Morris Proctor training subscription - is it worth it?

Yes, absolutely. Enormous amount of content for what you pay - and if you're consistent in viewing them it's cheaper than buying everything in bulk.

  • Logos 7 Master Library Expansion XL

What happened to the XL master library expansion? I knew it was there not too long ago, but I no longer see it listed with the rest of the master library expansions. I can still see the XL's from the other library expansions, it's weird they would take down the master XL. Any clues?

Well said! Very grateful for the continual improvements in the software - even big tech companies like Google have a poor track record of maintaining software for more than a couple of years, so we have a lot to be thankful for.

  • Re: Saving resources on an USB Thumb Drive

As Graham said, it would have a substantial effect on Logos (which already runs fairly slow with a 30GB library). If it's a modern computer with USB C or a Thunderbolt connector you can use that to connect an external SSD to the computer and that would remove a good portion of the bottleneck. However, even the best flash with USB 3.0 will suffer a performance

  • NIV Application Commentary

Hi all, This one has been hanging out in my cart for most of the month and I'm needing help pulling the trigger. It's got excellent reviews on the product page, and it's one of the few sets left on my wishlist. Is the sale price worth it? Is the set as good as reviews would suggest?

  • Re: The best academic pricing deals...

Sorting by savings for me brings up a bunch of products I already own followed by mostly pre-pub stuff. Most of the academic deals I've found have just been by chance, like the New Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible that has an almost 50% discount on it:

Any pointers for must-have deals for a nonacademic? This is my first March Madness, and it's all a bit overwhelming! As per the topic, I'm likely one of the 'frustrating' people who don't have a firm grasp on all of the names
Check out the deals each round and separate the one you think you might want

Ligonier has a similar service, and it often includes transcripts, quizzes, and even a fairly active community for discussion. Hopefully Faithlife is planning something.
