• Re: Issue with my downloaded books

I have the same problem. I did everything except re-install the program. I own thousands of books on Logos and don't want to take hours to download all my resources again. Is there another way of fixing it? Accessing my resources while on the plane and on the road (without Wi-Fi) is critical for my studies. So, is there another way of fixing this? Also

Robert Bigouette, so sorry to hear this. For some strange reason, my system works fine now. I have not even tried the SMC reset yet. I must say, I still get nervous when I hear the fan running... it runs for a very short time and none of it, of late, seems to be related to Logos. I am even afraid to use the wifi when using Logos... I use it when not

After receiving several tips on this site and one from Logos, I "found" that following this method works (for me). I am using the latest OS from Apple (Mavericks). 1. Replace Logos Application (drag app into trash and empty it). Download newest
I don't know if I'm just lucky or if this is an important detail, but I had the high CPU usage problem repeatedly when I tried to use Logos in full screen mode; however, I haven't had it once if I leave the application running (visible or hidden) in a regular window.
Thanks for the suggestion; thought this might
Logos has become almost unusable because of this issue--very frustrating. It has become progressively worse. I'm having to do most of my work off of the iOS app by necessity.
I understand your frustration. If you turn off the internet access in your preference, Logos seems to work fine (and fast). Downloading new

Logos recommended I delete my application and then download a new one. Did that, worked like a charm the FIRST time (previous purchased finally downloaded). Purchased another item, now it won't download again - the MacBook Pro is about to take off as the fan speeds up - had to force quit. Downloaded app again (and again, etc.) after deleting the app

I'll have to try this. My macbook pro retina (just released Oct. 2013 15") does not have an Ethernet connection (just order the adapter for the thunderbolt) - have been using wifi since I received this - it hangs and slows down tremendously. I can't even quit it; have to force quit. I'll have to wait a few days before I get the adapter to plug in the

  • Re: MacBook Pro Fan Runs Constantly with Logos 5

Thanks for your thorough response. I think I download at least once a week (community prices) and find the fan a great annoyance. Even after indexing, the fan still runs. Will look into trying some of your suggestions. I download each day but maybe I'll turn it off and only do it in the evening when going to bed. Turning off the internet function may

I want to thank everyone for their input. It appears it is related to the indexing and I found once it was done, I had to restart the program and it no longer became an issue. It is strange but workable. Thanks again.

  • MacBook Pro Fan Runs Constantly with Logos 5

I'm not sure if it always happens but when I run Logos, the fan begins to run on my MacBook Pro and won't stop. When trying to quit Logos, it usually just hangs and tries to quit for the longest time - am compelled to "force quit" the program. A minute after Logos is closed, the fan stops running. My Mac runs fine after. Does anyone else have this problem

Ditto! Not interested in the whole collection but would buy the two books from Beale in this collection. I hope they split this collection soon - I would buy it immediately.
