  • Your results when flipping backwards in Bible

One thing that makes the iOS interface less than stellar to me is that when I flip backwards to a previous page, the last line on the page is not necessarily the last line before where I was at on the page I flipped from. The result is that when I flip back to original page, what was the start of that page is no longer at the top. This is a deviation

  • NIV Formatting Error?

Strange results when reading NIV on iPad (and reproduces on iPhone). At selected text size and auto columns, I generally have 2 columns. Twice now when swiping to the next page however, the display switches to 1 column. Realized when reading Ezra 1-2 that there are numbers (counts) missing on the right side of display. I'm attaching a picture to illustrate

TC, your reply was priceless. And it made me realize how much I still need to learn in html5 ;) Stuart

  • Re: iOS update

Are you sure the display didn't already go retina? I agree that the book covers could be sharper, but that's existing artwork. The navigation icons at bottom look very sharp to me. Of course, I can't compare it to before. Anybody else? Stuart

  • Re: New Ipad, Tips to share

My iPad 3 is my first, so I can only compare to my iPhone 3GS. iPhone slow; iPad blazingly fast. Give input, and it responds. I have the 64GB and no 4G. It really is night and day for me. My wife always gives wisdom in purchases like this. “If God wants you to have it, I want you to have it.” And since we waited so long to get one, she was very pleased

  • Re: Scrolling rather than paging

Or, how about an up one verse/chapter and down one verse/chapter option. I think that would solve this problem and be very useful for other reasons as well. I have seen this approach used nicely in another app. Stuart

Not sure what I'm doing wrong on this. Instead of the iOS dictionary, I get "no information available". Any idea what gives? Thanks, Stuart

  • Re: Feature request: choose between advanced and simplified highlighting.

I've suggested elsewhere simplifying highlighting by only clicking the color and not having to hit the done button. Maybe we could compromise by 1) selecting 2) clicking highlight for simple default color, or 3) click and hold highlight for color choice menu. What do you think? Also it would great if there was a place to suggest and vote on features

  • Re: BUG: iPad and multitask

Haven't observed this problem. As a matter of fact, I am blown away by the ability to use the 4-or-5 finger swipe to go back and forth between notes for preaching and Logos for reading Bible! I'm assuming you have an iPad 2 or 3, since it's my understanding the multi-tasking gestures don't work on iPad 1? Stuart

  • Re: iPad Suggestion

Do you mean side by side navigation? We have it in landscape mode; would be nice if it was in portrait. I agree we need this. Or maybe you're talking about the number of split screens. Probably no need to mention a specific competitor's project. So said, developers don't look at the other vendor's products and so don't even know what we're talking about

  • Navigation suggestions

Enjoying my reading list and highlighting on my new iPad. Here are a few suggestions to improve the app navigation: Offer an option to go to the start of a chapter instead of verse 1. That way we can see introductory material. With all the screen real estate on the iPad, I'd like to see the chapter number, a Psalm of David, and then verse 1. Ability

I suggested years ago that we should have access to our Logos resources on Palm devices. I got an iPhone mainly for the Logos app. After two years I finally got an iPad on Friday — 64 GB 3rd generation. The screen is so beautiful I already can't stand looking at Logos on my laptop (for some reason Logos looks terrible on my laptop while other applications

  • Re: iPad crash (due to large note files?)

Billy, How did the rest of the restore go? Did you lose anything else in the process? Hope it went smooth and a solution can be found. Just curious — why do you highlight differences in versions vs. using the Text Comparison tool? Stuart

  • What am I missing on copying from Logos iOS app?

I must be missing something. I'd like to be able to copy verses to text messages, scripture memory app, etc., but when I copy a verse it comes with the superscript letters and numbers for footnotes and cross-references (i.e. it's almost useless). Is there a setting or someway to turn this off (like there is in desktop app? As it is, I'm using another
