• "Resources are ready to be added to your library" prompt will not go away

Hi all — I have an issue that the "Resources are ready to be added to your library." prompt (the blue circle) never goes away. I have investigated and looked at previous posts and taken steps but the resource keeps on being a problem. I enabled logging and found this below — fragment from Logos.log file (I haven't uploaded all logs as I am 99% sure

  • Re: Is anyone else having trouble with Logos 6.12 on a Mac after the computer has come back from sleep?

Well I broke one of my own rules about using Logos after MacBook waking from sleep and upgraded to 6.12 SR-2 on my MacBook after it woke from sleep with Logos running. Then I had problems with Logos syncing documents etc., I turned off 'Use Internet' now it looks like it is re-indexing my whole library. Will see the final outcome.
This might not be related, but on non-Apple SSD's TRIM isn't automatically enabled in OS X and without it write speeds can slow down considerably. Indexing performs a lot of disk reads/writes. Apple recently added a command to enable TRIM for third party SSD's: http://osxdaily.com/2015/10/29/use-trimforce-trim
MSFT released an update to Office yesterday. I am hearing that most users have seen their problems resolved, but not all. In your situation, I would recommend waiting until the winter break.
Maybe this thread would be better titled "Office for Mac (to upgrade or not to upgrade)".
Thanks for the post Patrick, Is fact that I almost always open Logos from Spotlight the reason that I am not seeing this on my icon? For anyone interested in some of the technical background to this you can read my post here https://community.logos.com/forums/p/105299/729065.aspx#729065 Essentially on the Mac Logos has changed it to be an 'application within an application', I gather for the purposes of improving how Logos is updated. If one looks at the contents of the Logos Bible
One of our Mac devs was asked about this, and it’s an alias now so that it will work across versions due to the changes in the update process. (Apple places that arrow there) We hope to have this removed in 6.4.
Except every other Mac application seems to be able to work in a standard Mac way and not have this issue

Bevin I used the method "Duplicate Logos Mac Installation" on the Wiki page Alabama mentioned https://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_Multiple_Macs when I changed my primary drive on my iMac to an SSD drive (goes great!) and I didn't have to download or index anything. However I would add/update a couple of points. Make sure you do an update

Hi Might be good to go through the normal process - I have taken a few screenshots for you to help explain. These are the two Logos apps you should see on your Mac. Note the Logos app icon is the new format for Logos 6. You should always change the log settings (ON/OFF) while Logos 6 is NOT running. If you run the Logos Logging Utility while Logos is

I did a manual 'Update Resources' command and then checked the log files afterwards. It showed that all resources were checked and were up-to-date but no new resources. Customer Services sent me the standard link Missing Resources on Mac but I've told them is nothing wrong with my Logos install and sent them the relevant portion of the Logos.log file
