• Let's request Logos 4 Mac to be more Mac like 3) Ditch 'Mono' and 'go native'

Hi there - 3rd in the series "Let's request Logos 4 Mac to be more Mac like". This time I'm suggesting (and I realise this may be a contentious point) that Logos - long term - ditch the current development platform being used to port Logos to the Mac, that is Mono (which is itself a port of the Microsoft development platform .NET ) and to 'go native

  • Re: Serial Number Question

You don't need to enter a serial number for Logos 4 as I understand and have been told by Logos staff . If you downloaded (I am assuming you did) the software it just installs. For the disk I don't have direct experience, I bought via download. However regardless you can check your account to see if the relevant packages are on the account: When you

  • New interface for searching and showing contextual relationships in Logos 4

Hi I wonder if anyone is familiar with DevonAgent from Devon Technologies? It is a query tool for searching the Internet which shows information returned in an interesting way. Below is a screenshot (click to see larger image) of query I did on the word "pharisee". What is good about DevonAgent is the way information is returned and can be viewed including
I don't know how to make an icon file, and since I drew this one by hand I just had to make it a .png. But what about something more like this...
Thanks for sharing! Like it - the concept is v.good. If I could comment: It would be good in following the Mac icon principle to have the background of book be transparent
I don't think we should re-use the iphone logo. If you look at the different logos for iphone and mac, you'll see that the lighting angle is very different. To make it properly 'mac-like', you definitely need to make it more 3d, like the Quicktime logo alongside it in the original post.
The original poster agrees If
It's only possible to have an app launch on a specific space

Then this may be a slightly different request. I don't care about L4Mac as it launches, but the ability to choose a layout that moves floating windows to other spaces is more what I had in mind. This may be the same thing, it
In the PC version there is a full-screen viewing mode. We can safely assume it will come to the Mac version too.
Ahh we have to go one better! Someone was asking in another post about using the OS X feature 'Spaces' http://www.apple.com/pro/tips/spaces.html I would second that, it would mean Mac users could have
Sorry for the massive thread-jack.
Apology accepted because you did take it right off topic. But it was an interesting and lively discussion.
Comparing the current one with Windows may be a bit harsh, but maybe more like Adobe (due to the flatness). Photorealistic would be cool, but it might end up looking like a Spotlight (or worse Sherlock) replacement. Maybe it just needs some more 3D to look a little more Mac-ish. Here's one several of us used for Logos 1.2
I guess I'd never thought about it before, but if Logos wants to expand its base of users, perhaps it should remove the cross from the icon. If I were a Jewish Mac user looking for a Jewish package, I think I'd look elsewhere for a program that wasn't trying to be overtly Christian. Just thinking out loud...
Given that the

  • Let's request Logos 4 Mac to be more Mac like 1) Enhance the app. icon

Hi all A light-hearted (yet real request) while we play with the Alpha version could be to put forward some ideas to have the developers make Logos 4 Mac more 'Mac like'. After dragging the application icon onto my dock (for the first time!) I would post the first suggestion to help make Logos 4 Mac more a true Mac app. Jazz up the app. icon! The current

    Hi there, thanks for welcome.
Since you seem to be quite knowledgeable about computers, yu must surely know what Alpha software is.
Ahhh, yes Alpha means rough around the edges and prone to software suicide - but the application design would however be already decided. I was curious how much of Mac UI and other

  • Logos 4 Mac is a Mono (.NET) application?

Hi I looked into the Logos 4 Mac app bundle and saw, gasp, .DLLs everywhere, and then dug some more and found that Mono [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mono_(software) ] is being used. I guess this is a 'compromise' when having to deal with an application coming from the Windows world (as a Mac user trying not to choke) but I was wondering how far the
