I had held off reading this thread as I though initially it would just have been a whinge session, but enjoyed reading through it all yesterday and have some thoughts. Forums, and specifically the Logos forums with Logos' (hoping everyone will remember they are Christians) clear instructions (paraphrased) to users "be nice to each other and only talk

These are the current build MacBook models? 13" high = $1499 15" base = $1799? Why not consider a 13" MacBook Air build-to-order option 1.7 Dual Core, 8GB RAM with standard 256GB flash storage drive for $1,549. Logos is a 'hybrid' app - meaning it has a Mac UI coded natively (but not in standard way) in OS X but a data access engine built using a run

I see, in one sense unsurprisingly/regrettably, this discussion goes down a predictable path. I'm not quite sure how to take the comment "do you think that [...] it's important to study History?" Meaning I don't know if it is an ad hominem comment or not with respect to intimating that I am unaware of history. I am very aware of history. If one wants
Quite true. Unfortunately, we as Christians have committed our own atrocities. One should not whitewash the ugliness of human history. On the other-hand, we can use honest evaluation to minimize the degree to which the future is doomed to repeat the horrors of the past.
I disagree with your statement above. Re: "we
What KSFJ showed you, and further you can have multiple Bible versions open in multiple tabs - have a look at my usual layout running Logos in this post: http://community

  • Re: Two Indexers...Again

This is not normal behaviour for Macs, or for Logos running on a Mac. Indexing should only be a one-time thing for new or updated resources and I have never seen more than one indexer running. As for the "limited amount of shared cache on the Mac" — hmmm, I'm not totally buying that. If Logos had/caused such an issue with respect to a common aspect

This is how I have my Logos screen organised ( click on picture to see full size ). In the picture I have put comments on how I get all this. Basically once you have a saved layout (this one took me some time to get just the way I want) you can click a button on the toolbar to bring it up. Nice thing is as well that new resources and tools load in the
In the video, I saw that you put a command (close all) on the shortcut bar. How do you do that?
Bring up the command in the command entry box - when the command shows in the drop down list select and drag it to the toolbar and it will make a command button. You can then also right click it to change the icon.

  • Re: Surface RT quality app

It gets worse, forget about any issues with Logos running on Surface RT, the issue is with Surface RT itself . Surface RT is dead in the water and you should not expect that it is going to improve. Microsoft has lost almost a $ billion on it, and hardware manufacturers are pulling out of making them. The writing is on the wall.
Since I don't run Logos 5 I really cannot comment on the OP's complaint. Nor have I ever tried Accordance. Logos may be capable of a lot of what Bibleworks does, but Bibleworks really excels at things like text comparison. It can display parallel versions, but can also be set up to use difference highlighting. You could set it up
