• Re: Need help finding resources on misplaced trust

Thanks, Richard, et al. One of my resources defines pistis with two words: "substance" (Gk. hupostasis , lit. "that which stands under") and "evidence" (Gk. elenchos , lit. "proof"). So this gives me a lead, I believe. I'm expecting a good lesson tomorrow!

I'm also surprised it's not at least in PrePub. Another Bible software company has been offering it for awhile.

  • Re: Help! L4 stuck at "Signing In."

It doesn't even leave the log in box when I try that method. I upgraded to Platinum shortly before the motherboard burned out on my computer. Logos tech support said the PC needs more power to run the platinum upgrade, but since I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, how does it know I have Platinum if it won't even sign in?

Hi Dave, here is my latest log file. I found out today that I can't install a new video card in my computer. (Its a Dell Optiplex) All I can do is go into BIOS and allocate more memory to the video functionality (out of my RAM pool, I guess.) The display reported 248 available memory earlier. I'm going to see if I can bump it up to 512. 36702.Logos4

Well, never mind. I re-read your post and it seems you have the reverse problem!

I would get it too. In fact, I was thinking about this very thing last night! Chuck and his son Andy have also published several books that I would love to see in a collection. And they are all published by Nelson, right? Which already has several items in the Logos format.

Hi, Ben. Harper's Bible Dictionary and Halley's Handbook offers a table of all the kings, but not categorized to whether good or bad. , but it's a place to start. One approach to finding what you want is to do a Entire Library search using the NEAR command, and inserting a list of the godly or ungodly kings that you would expect to see. For example
I would love the ability to remove individual results from a search in order to pare it down to just those that we want to keep saved for later.
I too have wanted this capability for a while now. I even envision edited search results being on the same par with Clippings and Notes, etc., and would sit in the menu

  • "Newspaper page" not showing online content

Has anyone else noticed their homepage (newspaper page) showing local content only? Mine has been doing that for awhile now. No blog,no prepub news, etc. I have tried the following, and wonder if anyone else has any suggestions: 1. Restarted the program 2. Checked to make sure settings says "Use Internet" 3.
Handbook of Denominations in the United States , originally edited by Frank Mead (as I recall), has always been a fairly good, concise resource. It's in a 13th edition at this point.
This was what I was about to recommend. I have the 12th ed., and it is a good solid non-biased reference book.

Timothy, I couldn't get the tapping to work on my tablet--and I thought it should. I folded it where there was no keyboard, just like you said. I just assumed it wasn't supposed to work for Logos until I saw your post. Is there something I haven't turned on yet? I'm using a Dell Latitude XT2.
