• Logos Using Significant Energy in Mac Sierra

I just upgraded to Mac Sierra and I'm noticing it always includes Logos under "Apps Using Significant Energy" even when I haven't used Logos all day. (I've always kept Logos open all the time so I can refer to it as needed.) I don't remember this happening on previous versions of OS X. Anyone else noticed a change in this?
Where are you "right clicking"? On the resource title in the library? If you are still having troubles, please create a new thread and explain your issue clearly. Providing screen shots might help. There is nothing "new" about hiding resources in L7, and the engine is essentially the newest version of the L6 engine (which is
There's no way to not pay for them, but yes, you can get them off your machine and even get the licenses pulled if you ask. But my advice is: stop buying stuff you don't need. It only encourages them to keep doing more of the bundle stuff with hundreds of public domain items and two or three good items. It reminds me of buying LPs

  • When I Choose a Package Can I Remove Certain Books?

For example, I'm looking at my upgrade options for Logos 7 and considering getting a package I would normally not get just to get a resource or two in that package. The downside is that I don't want 80% of the books in the package. I do understand the "more books is better" idea but with the package I'm looking at it would be a bunch of stuff taking

The Lutheran Gold package also includes Hermeneia. That's an incredible deal.

  • Re: Is there a keyboard shortcut for power lookup?

Create a bookmark or a favorite? If you create a favorite it will open power lookup, but it open it blank - it doesn't pass anything to it to actually lookup.

  • Shortcuts on toolbar can link to a series as well as a volume

Currently if I have a volume in a commentary open if I put a reference in that is not in that volume, but is in the series that volume belongs to, Logos will open the reference in the correct volume because Logos is aware of the series as one unit. What I would love is a similar ability on Logos shortcut bar. For example, if I drag a Matthew commentary

Yes, you misunderstood on the first question. Here is the behavior in Accordance that started my question: If you are in an English Bible you can triple-click the word "love" in a verse. Accordance will open your first Bible dictionary to the word love. You can also triple-click while holding down the Cmd key and instead of using the English word love
I can't reproduce this on Logos Bible Software 6.7 6.7.0.0036 So one way or another hope is on the horizon.
Hmm. That's strange. I'm on the same release and just tried it and the bug is there. You just need two open Bibles and one that is the active panel. Then click the parallels on the panel that is not active. The

Ah.. thanks I hadn't noticed that. Hopefully they will fix the bug to prevent confusion. I couldn't figure out why it was happening.

  • BUG: Changing an entry in the notes file to the "default" font, uses a font other than the default font

For some reason over several years my note files have ended up with notes in different fonts. Today I was trying to clean that up a bit. I changed my default font in Logos preferences to Avenir Next to try something new. When I looked at my notes file all the entries that were set to the "Default" font correctly switched to Avenir which was the expected

You can see a video showing the bug here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/uz1e0f9iag5b2k7/Logos%20Parallel%20Bug.mov?dl=0 I have two different Bibles in two different panels. One is the ESV and the other the NASB. On the NASB, I used the parallels to open the NKJV. It opens as expected. I then switch that panel back to the NASB. Then I switch to the ESV panel

  • BUG: Replace with Passage Does not Insert Passage For Specific Verses

Note this is a Mac bug - I don't know if there is a PC equivalent. The replace with passage service does nothing when more than one verse is specified using a comma. For example: If you apply the service to Gen 15.9-12, it inserts Genesis 15:9-12. However if you apply the service to Gen 15.9,12 it does nothing. Expected behavior is that it inserts Genesis

  • Is there a keyboard shortcut for power lookup?

It seems like when I did Logos training a few years ago that there was a keyboard shortcut or a mouse shortcut for Power Lookup. Is there one or is the right click menu the fastest way to do a power lookup on a term?

  • Two Logos Shortcut Questions

I'm wondering if there are two shortcuts that are similar to shortcuts in Accordance. The first is to quickly search a Greek word in the first lexicon. For example, in Accordance you triple-click to search the English word in a Bible dictionary, but if you hold down Cmd (I'm on Mac) when you triple-click it searches the underlying Greek or Hebrew word

  • Re: BUG - The Cmd+G Shortcut no longer works in Copy Bible Verses

As Dave mentioned, it should go to the box to enter a reference as it does in other reference based tools. This always worked before the newer versions of Logos 6.
