My question is, did you say, "Better Forum software!"?
Nice... Sorry, no new forum software. It is really strange though. We were thinking about totally changing it up, so we ran that survey last week right here on the forums, and we were just as surprised as you to see 100% of the 54

Thanks for the pic Dan.
Thanks for the pic, Dan. Even that (which clearly showed test.logos.com/product... in the URL bar) didn't allow me to sneak into it. Must be password protected. Grrr...
More likely the server is set to only permit browsing from the internal network. I'm not sure about ASP but in apache that's a simple thing to do.

Jerry, I also have noticed you can advance the pages one wheel scroll advancement at a time. I found it almost better than the other ways but I'm still playing with it.

On some levels Peter you might be right. But sales and tech support are two different entities. Sales is generally more direct, "Hello, can you give me the best price on product X?" "Sure here's what I can do, can I place the order for you?" "Ok, let's do it." Tech support many times has multiple layers of questions, research and configurations of computers
Yay Droid App! Has Logos said anything official about Droid ambitions?
There are some very clear tweets from Dan Pritchet, and I've heard whispers from a few other individuals. Plus, Bob P. has declared somewhere on these forums (I'm too lazy to search right now) that Android will "likely" be the next platform. IOW
Thomas, Thanks for the input. I am running dual monitors as well. I'll investigate whether a reboot helps. However, this still shouldn't be occurring, and a reboot is more than a little inconvenient at times.
I agree, but I think it probably has more to do with video card buffering than Logos itself. Though perhaps
What about Ctrl-w? I'm using 4.1 now so I can't test it on 4.0x, but I seem to remember this always worked. It closes a panel, and when a floating window has its last panel closed, the window itself will close. So for most floating windows, ctrl-w should close it...
Yes. CTRL+W works.

There are the SFL commentaries. There may be others I'm not aware of. http://www.logos.com/search?q=sfl

I suspect many of us can commiserate and celebrate right along with you Ronald. I've canceled a few prepubs myself this month. [:'(]
I guess I'm just going to have to sit on my hands until there's some announcement from them. Then again Thomas Black will probably tell me he's already got access to the secret new site .
Even if I tell you, you still don't know if I do or don't. I will say the new site looks way cool. Faceted Browsing = browsing based
-
Can you say faceted browsing? Customized content? Geographically aware? Operating system relevant? Personalized messaging/offers? More search and browse options than you can imagine?
My question is, did you say, "Better Forum software!"?

There are significant limits to what can be done with handouts currently. This is one of them. The good news is that handouts are slated for something of a rewrite in the future. The bad news is that it doesn't help you now.
-
Right now, what I am going to do for everyone reading this, is to make a one time exception to the rules.
Dan you are so cool. I need to talk to my wife.

Patrick. Can you tell me what brand, model and revision number (look on the tag for something like REVb) is your router. Also can you tell me about any software settings that are unique to home that are not happening at the office or vice versa? And finally.... are any other programs affected in any way?
-
I've had my IT person here at the college check it out
For my benefit.... College is work? and Home is not at college right? Sometimes internet routing policies can get easily missed and Logos uses a few nonstandard ports for transmission of data.
And . . . . does this offer also count for the EEC? Yeah, I know, you guys try to be nice and all we can do is grab for more. But these are a few wrinkles that may have not been considered, especially the EEC
Dan has already commented that payment plans will be available somehow on the EEC. I'm going to guess that they

Noel those look like good specs all around - they should net you good performance. The only bit I'm not sure about is your processor. Can you round out the specs by telling us what CPU it has - that will be the final bit of the puzzle.
-
With those specs Noel, I would forecast satisfaction. :-) The truly power hungry among us (ok me too) can't help but wonder if even more RAM and an SSD would go farther - but I see nothing in those specs that won't be far better than what I'm running. :-)
