• Re: macOS 10.12 Sierra?

Applications have to be written to allow tabs. At this point, Logos has not been updated to allow tabs to be created.
Why only floating windows? That seems odd. Is in a bug?
I suspect it's because the windows in Logos are fairly complicated workspaces, not typical windows.

  • Syntax search "GO" box too small

The "Go" box, where a search term is typed, is way too small (see first image). It will expand as I type into it, but the drop down list of options is trimmed to the size of the text I've typed in (see second image). Any suggestions for expanding the box? The other search modes (morph, Bible, etc.) are all appropriately sized.

Thanks for the tip - I've got the images in place now.

I'm facing the same thing in Logos 7, MacBook Pro, Mac OS 10.12 Sierra, worked fine this morning, problem started late this afternoon.

That's an interesting idea, thanks. I hadn't thought about using collections in this way.
On my laptop I can use Fn + Up/Down key for Page Up/Down. Pretty sure that all laptops have some way to do it.
That works on my Mac, too, but it's paging down in the open resource, not cycling through tabs in that panel. Thanks for the suggestion, though, it was worth a shot.

I'm using a laptop, so no Page keys. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
In this case, you need to add Ctrl of course (Ctrl+Fn+Up/down)
Tried that, Ctrl-FN-Up/Down does nothing at all. Tried Shift-FN, Option-FN, CMD-FN, no dice. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

  • Re: Dataset Updates: February 20, 2018

The example searches give zero results. The search defaults to Basic; choosing Bible still gives zero results. Going to the example verses mentioned in the documentation and right-clicking gives zero results. The email address at the bottom of the documentation ( data.theophanies@faithlife.com ) is an undeliverable address. The library has finished

  • Re: Mac Resize Issue

That happened to me a while back. I realized that Logos wasn't registered the new window information. Here's how I solved it: 1) Resize the window after you open Logos. 2) Go to the bottom right-hand corner and shrink the window a little bit. 3) Grab the window at the top and move it slightly. 4) Save your layout. 5) Quit and restart Logos. Hope that

  • Question: When is the best time to completely reload Logos?

Answer: Not on a Friday! Just downloaded and ran a Mac program called "Disk Doctor Pro". I never did see "Logos" in the list of things that could be tossed, BUT when I started up Logos a few minutes ago, my entire library (in the Application Support folder) had been trashed. So, I'm spending today downloading and installing and reindexing. Happily,

  • Re: SUGGESTION: Touch-Bar support for Mac-Book Pros

Hi Jeremy, I'll walk you through the process of setting up Better Touch Tool with Logos. 1. Click on the + button on the left side of the BTT window, below the "Select Application" pane. Choose "Select apps from running apps" and choose Logos. 2. Click on + Touch Bar Button toward the bottom of the main portion of the BTT window. 3. The name you give

No problem, my pleasure. For question 1, I don't think Logos can open something into a floating window. A docked panel has to be changed into a floating window. Command+Option+F is the keyboard shortcut, but Logos takes so long to open a window in the first place that BTT triggers the shortcut before there is a panel to apply it to. What you could do

  • Italics in text fields in Workflows

I'm using a Mac. This relates to text formatting in options. Pressing Command-B makes selected text bold, and Command-U underlines the selection. But, Command-I empties the pane of content - see the before and after pictures below. The data isn't gone – closing the pane and re-opening it brings it all back. But it's clearly an issue. BEFORE AFTER

  • Search Builder

I just went to do a search for every place Jesus was with sinners . I expected to have to type in "<Person Jesus> AND sinners" as I've done for years. Come to find out, Logos has created a "search builder" (that's my description). If you haven't used it yet, click on a search term in the lefthand panel in the search window, and breath a sigh of

Everyone has the right to an opinion. I'm a long-time Logos user with pretty large library (around 8,000 items), and it's open hours every day. I'm not a beta tester, and upgraded on Monday. I watched a few of their videos and then jumped in. On my Mac it's faster than Logos 7, I like the new font, I really like the enhanced ability to craft seaches

  • Two suggestions for Workflows

Wow, Workflows is a fantastic idea. I've created one that walks me through my typical sermon study process, and I've enjoyed it. I have two suggestions for improving Workflows. First, when a Workflow saves, it could include (as an option) the entire layout, which would streamline opening the Workflow from Home. I've saved the layout under a specific
Dav the fact you or Logos don’t like my honest feedback will not change me giving it. I am not a yes man. Logos 8 is disappointing to say the least. The interface changes were unecessary and left it with a broken home page that is unprofessional. And we are told to wait to 8.1 to fix things. The home page is the first impression you
