Ah well

Ah, that makes sense. I do wish that Logos had a solid, comprehensive search builder (the sidebar is a great proof of concept, but it locks you into specific search forms, and doesn't involve more complicated searches).

Black is obviously the default text color in Logos. Is it possible to change the color of all text?

With Beta 8.7 the list of the five preferred linguistic resources (when the Lemme is selected) is gone from the Control/Right Click popup. This is a BAD move, Faithlife, no matter how you slice it. In fact, I wouldn't call it a feature, I would call it a bug. In one fell stroke, word study became several steps more involved. Unless I'm missing something

I need a direct download link for the beta. I wanted to downgrade to the current stable version, but a window pops up and tells me that I have documents or resources that require the beta, and then hangs until I force a quit. But the only way to get the beta (that I can see) is to set the update channel from within the app itself. And since the app

I offer a partial humble apology . . . it seems that the little black line on the right side is a mostly obscured drop-down triangle; I thought it was junk on my screen. So at least THAT needs to be fixed, or "Look Up" needs to open that particular panel.

I did see that, thanks

I know everyone else probably knows all about this, and I'm late to the game, but I just found out that I can select ALL of the notes in a notebook and change the icon and highlight st

I'm using the latest Logos beta and Catalina beta (19A582a) without any significant issues. Catalina is right on the verge of launching; Apple has released the "golden master" version to developers.
What OS? Why do you create it in Word and bring it into Logos?
mac IS 10.14, Mojave It’s much faster to use Word’s styles than do the formatting in Logos.

I tried using the transcription feature for yesterday's sermon (found in the sermon audio page, if you're looking). The results were laughably inaccurate. Editing them into something coherent would require retyping most of the message, and I'm not going to do that. But, I can't find any way to delete the transcription. I see an "Edit" button, but don
How about offering a box of chocolates to the first member of the congregation to produce the original sermon from your coded clue sheet?
I like it - it's a variation on "Sermon Note Bingo," where you try to fill in the blanks before the pastor reaches that point.

And, in a few seconds, I can carry out a complicated search, such as every question Peter asked Jesus.
Ok, I'll bite, how would that search be done in Logos?
The search text itself is {Speaker <Person Peter>} INTERSECTS {Label Question} INTERSECTS {Addressee <Person Jesus>

Do you think Logos 8 is an improvement? How?
Yes, sure! (well, looking over the new homepage, which was a design decision) Workflows is a really great improvement. Even the current functionality is big, and with some additional tweaks it is bound to become the #1 killer reason to upgrade or

I changed my preferences so that my Notes file uses Sirba GRK, but when I type Bible reference, Logos is changing the font when it creates the link. I didn't notice it because because I used a serif font, but it really stands out now, as you can see. Also, it isn't possible to change the link font by selecting it and then choosing a different typeface

I apologize - I was trying to be clever. I know about Mahershalalhasbaz and how to use resources. What I’m looking for is a comprehensive list of words that would not typically be found in Microsoft Word or the Mac spelling dictionary, but could be imported to teach the system what they are, rather than giving a great number of red underlines

I've had Logos open for an hour or so, just sitting at the home page, while I was working on some other things. I noticed my MacBook getting pretty warm, so I checked Activity Monitor, and Logos is using around 77% of the processor just sitting there. It's not indexing, and the Library is not updating anything, so there isn't any reason for it to be

. . . but is there a downloadable spelling dictionary filled with biblical/theological terms? Oddly enough, Maher-Shalal-Hashbaz is not part of my Mac's dictionary. It seems that Logos might be in a perfect position to create a reasonably comprehensive word list that we could import in our spelling system of choice.

I'm on a Mac, and running the latest Logos beta. The pop-ups work for me in both the ESV and NIV, as well as the NASB.
