Do you attach the notes to a reference? I.e. When you are reading in your text and come to " John 3:16 " you see a flag which takes you to the note on your commentary. Is that how you are using it? If not, I wonder if a personal book would be better... and if you could keep some of the formatting.
Yes, notes are
This is a known problem. As a work around if you paste the formatted text into OneNote and then copy the text from OneNote and paste it into a Logos Note it retains the formatting.
It's only a partial fix. The color is pasted in with the formatting, but not font choices or sizes. I also tried Apple Pages and

  • Formatting is lost when pasting into Notes?

In Logos 7, I could copy my notes from Word and paste them into Logos, and formatting would be kept. Logos 8 loses that ability. This isn't a minor issue. I use what I call "inline comments" during my initial work on a passage. It allows me to quickly follow the biblical text and also make basic notes. Unfortunately, Logos 8 turns this: into this: Suffice

I'm on a Mac, and running the latest Logos beta. The pop-ups work for me in both the ESV and NIV, as well as the NASB.

I apologize - I was trying to be clever. I know about Mahershalalhasbaz and how to use resources. What I’m looking for is a comprehensive list of words that would not typically be found in Microsoft Word or the Mac spelling dictionary, but could be imported to teach the system what they are, rather than giving a great number of red underlines

  • Re: Sermon recording necessities

Thanks, Justin - I never tried to simply delete a selection; I'm glad that works. On the second point I wasn't talking about inserting audio into a sermon, but exporting the sermon, editing in Audacity (which is a great app), and then re-importing it into Proclaim. That would be a great feature.

  • Sermon recording necessities

Proclaim is of tremendous value because of the seamless way it records and uploads audio to SoundFaith. It's really reduced the amount of time necessary to get audio online. But, a couple of tweaks here and there would be of great value. I'm sure these have been brought up before, but here goes. First, we need to be able to trim INSIDE the audio . If

  • This might seem like a strange question . . .

. . . but is there a downloadable spelling dictionary filled with biblical/theological terms? Oddly enough, Maher-Shalal-Hashbaz is not part of my Mac's dictionary. It seems that Logos might be in a perfect position to create a reasonably comprehensive word list that we could import in our spelling system of choice.

  • Proclaim and Planning Center

I usually have to reformat song lyrics when importing into Proclaim, since I use longer lyric lines for chords to keep them on one "page" on my iPad. I've tried creating a second Arrangement in Planning Center that is properly formatted for Proclaim, but Proclaim continues to import the "chord" version of the lyrics (without the chords, of course),

  • CPU usage - Logos 8.0.0.0591

I've had Logos open for an hour or so, just sitting at the home page, while I was working on some other things. I noticed my MacBook getting pretty warm, so I checked Activity Monitor, and Logos is using around 77% of the processor just sitting there. It's not indexing, and the Library is not updating anything, so there isn't any reason for it to be

  • Identifying previously used images

This past Sunday I choose several Bible graphics to run as a pre-service loop. Since Proclaim has a very large number of these images, I'd like to change them each week - is there a way to either tag images that have been used, or filter by whether they have been used?

  • Highlights crash

This is a predictable crash. I have my Bible open. I have the Highlight panel open. I want to save highlights in a Note file. I click on the triangle to the right of the name of the Highlight group. At the bottom of the popup is "Notebook: No notebook" with an expansion triangle. I move the cursor to "Notebook: No notebook". Voila! Logos is gone.
