• Re: Where are Notes in the web app?
Click on TOOLS then NOTES
You know, I just assumed that Logos would keep the user interface uniform between the desktop and the web - silly me. Thanks for your help!

  • Re: Layout Issue

OK. I'm pretty sure that the Command Bar uses the default layout in your layouts menu, NOT the current layout you have created. In the layouts menu, click the triangle to the right of Passage Study, and choose "Replace With Current Layout." That should fix things.

  • Sync problems?

I've noticed over the past couple of weeks that my synchronize icon now sometimes has a red exclamation mark in it, indicated a sync failure. Is there something I can do on my end, or is Logos having an issue with their servers?

Where are you typing in the new passage, in the Bible panel of your layout, or in the Command Bar at the top of the window?

  • Re: Bible Trivia

I just posted a screenshot showing the trivia screen WITHOUT the play along feature, and thought they had fixed it (the admins must not trust me, it's being held for moderation), but the "play along" thing came up the second time I tried it. Ah well. If they do approve my post I'll delete it.

  • Re: Sermon Guide--Words per Minute adjust?

Without easily made adjustments for personal style, this is a largely symbolic feature. I find that I can READ a 3,000 word manuscript in about 20 minutes, but it takes me 35-40 to PREACH that same manuscript, because I don't read it word for word, but use it as a map for the sermon.

  • Prayer List Bible links

I've never used the Prayer List feature, and thought I would start today. Imagine my surprise when I found that Scripture references don't become links; that's a wasted opportunity right there. I think it's the ONLY place in Logos where a typed reference doesn't become most useful.

  • Psalms Genre

Is there a convenient document that explains the various genre of Psalms in the Psalms explorer? It's nice having them categorized, but it would be nice to know the criteria.

  • Re: Psalms Genre

Thanks - unfortunately, the About panel doesn't explain their paradigm for genre, only that they categorized the Psalms using Gunkel's form criticism plus other resources. All I'm looking for is the definition of their terms: lament, praise, hymn, etc. I do realize that I can look in the OED for a definition of those terms, but that doesn't mean that

  • Re: Logos Unbound Facebook event
The word "unbound" is an interesting choice.
Unbound, or "release" - Logos 9 released. Or, since "Logos" has five letters, and "Unbound" has seven letters, it's Logos 12, the same number as the tribes and apostles and gates in the New Jerusalem. And, it's 6 am Washington time. On a Monday. Because, as we know, every

  • Re: There is lots to like about the new Factbook and links, but …
Currently, the links are only to people, places, and things. We have plans to expose much more of the content that is available in Factbook, but I don't have any information about when or if that will actually happen.
Which, unfortunately, leaves it an anemic tool instead of a powerful help. Let's
We still have months of work for a multi-developer team planned, so we will be making a number of improvements in the near future. However, it's difficult to predict ahead of time exactly what work will get prioritized. Some of that is dependent on feedback from you, our customers. Until changes are actually
We run several programs at one time during our church services including Proclaim, camera software, and OBS for livestreaming. When the tech guys switch to another program so that Proclaim is no longer the "active" app, I cannot advance slides using the wireless presenter. They have to manually click on Proclaim. Is there

  • Re: New in Logos 9: Dark theme

Dark mode is certainly coming along in beta testing, as the comments and my experience show. I like it for reading text, and when it works, it's wonderful. But, in some resources (tables in the Holman Book of Biblical Charts, Maps and Reconstructions, for example), tables are unreadable. Instead of trying to get every resource to work perfectly with

I was making some adjustments to my layout when my Sermon Editor and Notes document both went blank The sermon still exists on my iPad, I didn't lose the text, but I'm not seeing the text within the Notes or Sermon Editor panel. I've restarted my computer once. Any ideas?
