I'd love an answer to this, too

Sorry about the bad pun … OK, let's look at Hebrews 11:5 (I'm using the NASB). I right click on the word "took", and see the sense "to transfer (move)". I do a "this resource" search, and sure enough, Hebrews 11:5 is listed (along with Esther 2:9 and Colossians 1:13). Now I add "INTERSECTS <Person God>" to the search field, so that I am

Incidentally, I know about the Bible Sense Lexicon, but in order to see a term, you have to have a starting term. I'd love to see a Concordance-like listing of all the terms used in the Lexicon.
-
Is there a comprehensive list of <Sense> terms? Probably my only frustration with Logos is having to know what to call something in order to find it, but not being told what terms are indexed.
-
I gave up on personal books, and use Notes for everything. No formatting necessary, no import necessary, no special codes necessary, no issues with system updates.

Thanks - unfortunately, the About panel doesn't explain their paradigm for genre, only that they categorized the Psalms using Gunkel's form criticism plus other resources. All I'm looking for is the definition of their terms: lament, praise, hymn, etc. I do realize that I can look in the OED for a definition of those terms, but that doesn't mean that

Is there a convenient document that explains the various genre of Psalms in the Psalms explorer? It's nice having them categorized, but it would be nice to know the criteria.
Do you use the Canvas tool in your bible study, lesson / sermon prep, etc?
Nope, never.
What do you like or dislike about the Canvas tool?
I gave it up after a few minutes. It's really draggy. Even when just moving an object on the screen, the object lags behind the cursor, so that
As a minimum, you should put double quotes around phrases. This is very standard search syntax across the board. I'm not sure how Logos is supposed to know whether you mean a phrase or not if you don't explicitly tell it so.
I would assume that the simplest search string would bring up the most straightforward results

to create a Visual Filter that identifies all men or all women? I see how to create a search or filter for a proper name (as below), but I don't see how to isolate names by sex. <SGNTSyntacticForce = prop. name> OR {Section <SGNTSyntacticForce = prop. name>}

That's fantastic, thanks

Is it possible to leave "All Passages" in a Bible search, and then set the passage in the search window? Sort of like, <Range Hebrews> AND Jesus I change my search range fairly often as I study, and it would probably be faster to type than to click and select and type and clear, etc.

I've never used the Prayer List feature, and thought I would start today. Imagine my surprise when I found that Scripture references don't become links; that's a wasted opportunity right there. I think it's the ONLY place in Logos where a typed reference doesn't become most useful.
-
Without easily made adjustments for personal style, this is a largely symbolic feature. I find that I can READ a 3,000 word manuscript in about 20 minutes, but it takes me 35-40 to PREACH that same manuscript, because I don't read it word for word, but use it as a map for the sermon.
-
I changed my preferences so that my Notes file uses Sirba GRK, but when I type Bible reference, Logos is changing the font when it creates the link. I didn't notice it because because I used a serif font, but it really stands out now, as you can see. Also, it isn't possible to change the link font by selecting it and then choosing a different typeface

I've set a Bookmark using Shift-Option-Command-1. I would like to create a shortcut to that bookmark in the command bar. I know that I can have a shortcut to the Favorites panel in the command bar, and that the Bookmarks are at the bottom. That's a cumbersome way of getting to my Bookmark. I also know that I can press Command-1 and have the Bookmark

I'd like to see a "Mark for Removal" option, so that a user could identify resources to remove, and then remove them all at once. As it is, removing a number of resources occupies the system, and makes it clumsy to continue to mark resources for removal until the update is complete.
-
Thanks for the help. I completely missed the fact that the drop down menu in the Search lane fills in the appropriate code.
-
Sorry for the convoluted question here. OK, I've got the basic search for: < Person Abraham> I also know that I can search for < Person Abraham> AND (believe OR trust) Is is possible to search for < Person Abraham> AND < Subject (or some other term) Faith> I don't know how to ask this, I guess, but in the above, what are Person

Have you tried creating a Collection with just the ESV Bible, and then picking that Collection in the Morph search?
