• Re: Sermon recording necessities

Thanks, Justin - I never tried to simply delete a selection; I'm glad that works. On the second point I wasn't talking about inserting audio into a sermon, but exporting the sermon, editing in Audacity (which is a great app), and then re-importing it into Proclaim. That would be a great feature.

  • Sermon recording necessities

Proclaim is of tremendous value because of the seamless way it records and uploads audio to SoundFaith. It's really reduced the amount of time necessary to get audio online. But, a couple of tweaks here and there would be of great value. I'm sure these have been brought up before, but here goes. First, we need to be able to trim INSIDE the audio . If

  • This might seem like a strange question . . .

. . . but is there a downloadable spelling dictionary filled with biblical/theological terms? Oddly enough, Maher-Shalal-Hashbaz is not part of my Mac's dictionary. It seems that Logos might be in a perfect position to create a reasonably comprehensive word list that we could import in our spelling system of choice.
Hello Pastor Greg, For the service that you were importing, was that particular changed arrangement selected? Would you be able to send us a screenshot of how it appears in that service on Planning Center versus Proclaim?
Sorry I haven't responded - Thanksgiving sort of got in the way. I went back and checked

  • Proclaim and Planning Center

I usually have to reformat song lyrics when importing into Proclaim, since I use longer lyric lines for chords to keep them on one "page" on my iPad. I've tried creating a second Arrangement in Planning Center that is properly formatted for Proclaim, but Proclaim continues to import the "chord" version of the lyrics (without the chords, of course),

  • CPU usage - Logos 8.0.0.0591

I've had Logos open for an hour or so, just sitting at the home page, while I was working on some other things. I noticed my MacBook getting pretty warm, so I checked Activity Monitor, and Logos is using around 77% of the processor just sitting there. It's not indexing, and the Library is not updating anything, so there isn't any reason for it to be

  • Identifying previously used images

This past Sunday I choose several Bible graphics to run as a pre-service loop. Since Proclaim has a very large number of these images, I'd like to change them each week - is there a way to either tag images that have been used, or filter by whether they have been used?

Do you think Logos 8 is an improvement? How?
Yes, sure! (well, looking over the new homepage, which was a design decision) Workflows is a really great improvement. Even the current functionality is big, and with some additional tweaks it is bound to become the #1 killer reason to upgrade or
Are you running on Mac with Mojave 10.14.0? If so, upgrading the OS to 10.14.1 should fix this
Ah, yes, I was still running the public beta, and the Mac App Store wouldn't automatically update the OS, so I didn't look carefully. I'm all good now! Thanks, Graham

  • Highlights crash

This is a predictable crash. I have my Bible open. I have the Highlight panel open. I want to save highlights in a Note file. I click on the triangle to the right of the name of the Highlight group. At the bottom of the popup is "Notebook: No notebook" with an expansion triangle. I move the cursor to "Notebook: No notebook". Voila! Logos is gone.

Just my two leptas worth: First, if Logos doesn't make these graphics "clickable," they are missing (in fact, ignoring) a huge opportunity to help us as we study. Second, maybe I'm just missing it, but since there are obviously a large number of these images in Logos, is there a place where they are contained in a SINGLE image? A recent email described

This isn't quite what you're asking about, but I: Export my manuscript to Word, Do a little formatting, Export as a PDF, Load the PDF into Notability, a great iPad app that allows me to annotate my manuscript with the Apple Pencil. I take a few minutes and make sure that I have slides indicates in my notes, and I'm ready to preach.
We're considering making a command to "Set preferred Bible to____" in the Go Box, which you could then save as a shortcut. • Churches in Monterey, California

Not about Logos, but . . . My daughter, Grace, is entering the Air Force in January. Based on her test scores, she is already promised a position at the Language School in Monterey. She wants to find a church that holds to biblical inerrancy and infallibility, and the doctrines of grace. If you pastor such a church, or know of such a church, please
