The example searches give zero results. The search defaults to Basic; choosing Bible still gives zero results. Going to the example verses mentioned in the documentation and right-clicking gives zero results. The email address at the bottom of the documentation ( data.theophanies@faithlife.com ) is an undeliverable address. The library has finished

Andrew, thanks so much for putting this together - it's a fantastic resource. On opening it on my Mac, running the latest version of Excel as of November 2017, Visual Basic gives a compile error, "Can't find project or library." Any ideas?
I would love to see how it behaves in relation to complex searches.
I would, too. I typed in "What questions did Jesus ask Peter" and it couldn't make sense of it. So much for "natural language" parsing. It's a cool idea, but doesn't seem ready for release.

OK, I've rebuilt the index, and it seems that Logos is now happy with High Sierra.

Restarting my computer made no difference. Starting Logos without an internet connection made no difference (which seems to indicate that it's not a problem with Logos' servers). Next will be rebuilding the index.

  • Re: macOS 11 (High Sierra) compatibility

I may have spoken too soon. Logos is now VERY busy (spinning circles) without seeming to do much at all. The little update curved arrows are spinning away. It's locked up once and I had to force a restart. It worked fine earlier this morning, so perhaps it's an issue with Logos' servers. I'll report back if something significant changes.

Every issue that I came across has been resolved. The current version of Logos is very stable with High Sierra.

  • PDF Personal Book import

Logos needs to provide for the import of PDFs as personal books. Microsoft Word is fine as far as it goes, but there are many, many public domain resources that could be used to quickly augment a library.

I did see that before, but it's not happening on my system with the current versions: Have you updated to the High Sierra beta 4?

An update regarding MacOS High Sierra Developer Beta 4 (more formally known as Version 10.13 Beta (17A315i) and Logos 7.8.0.0034 It appears that the issues I identified in the original post have been resolved. Panels no longer have blanks in them Default Logos fonts no longer have gaps in the text Check boxes properly check and uncheck The resource

Hi Robert, As I mentioned, there are some graphics issues, such as tab names, but Logos has functioned just fine on my Macbook Pro (the late 2016 model). I found that installing High Sierra to an external drive, and installing Logos there, allowed me to see whether or not it would be reliable. Only after verifying it did I install High Sierra directly

  • Mac OS High Sierra

Tl;Dr summary: Should you install High Sierra on your Mac and run Logos? NO! It's beta software! What's wrong with you? Actually, I did, and it's working fairly well, with some issues that to me are minor, but to you might be deal breakers. After several hours of running Apple's new Mac OS, High Sierra (OSX 10.13 for those keeping score) on an external

That would be High Sierra Beta (17A264c) for those keeping score.

A brief update on Logos and High Sierra: First, High Sierra has a lot of set up to do when it's first installed (I think related to Spotlight and iCloud). Once that was complete, the system in general felt a little quicker. And, Logos spent quite a long time "preparing the library." Once that was complete, the graphics glitches seemed to resolve, and

Yes, I've had that pleasure a few times. I removed Siri and replaced her with the notification center. I'm still trying to adjust to the arrow keys; I'm used to being able to simply feel where they are, and they're so flush with the case that I have to look. Other than that, I'm pretty pleased.

You've got my vote! In the meantime, check out Better Touch Tool ( https://www.boastr.net ). I just got a new Macbook Pro yesterday, and found Better Touch Tool while searching for a way to use the touch bar with Logos. You can create custom buttons. I have four: Open my library, open my Bible, open the copy verse pane, and open a search window. You

  • Showing versions in stacked multiple resources

I really like the multiple resource feature. Since I use a laptop most of the time, not a large monitor, it's more efficient to view Bible translations in a stack instead of columns. But, showing the location bar (to identify which translation is which) costs a fair amount of space. Something like this would not take much space from the text, and help
