Thanks David: I checked out the other posts, but didn't see where it tells me how to do a capture and snip. Any hints?

  • Copying Marked text to powerpoint

I have a question. I have my text marked up using a visual filter, and I want to copy it to a power point, so that I can show my bible study how to mark up text and how marking up text helps us learn. When I hit control P, of course the markings are not copied on word and power point is not an option. Any help out there? Also, is there anyway to add

  • Table of Content keeps opening despite ...

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. Every time I open my layouts, the table of contents for the bibles and other books are open. I will go and close them all, and save the layout, only for them to be open again when I use that layout. Can someone help me to keep them off. It's time consuming to close them every time I switch layouts, which I do a lot

  • I could just cry

Let's just say I wanted to upgrade to Logos 5 and money was no object. I have no idea what the upgrades mean. When I hit "compare" I don't understand what it's saying. What is "new" "new to you"... I have spent hours reading people's posts on the forum, and I see contradictions and read that more people don't understand themselves. If I spent as much
Words take their meaning from context. The idea here being "in groups" The history of the account, it's place in the story, it's overall intent flavors the final meaning. If I write the sentence "Hal is running" you'll picture a fellow named Hal making loops around a running track. But if you know that Hal is the name of the computer

Hi George: I don't have either of these. What I'm wondering is do you think there's a good chance I might find them in "real" book form at half price or Better Books or...Because my skill set is so low, I don't want to invest in the 2 references you suggested, although having them in my "real" library could benefit me. Having them linked to my logos

Mark, thanks for the video link. I don't think I have seen that one, and I will check it out. I've been leading Bible Study for 4 years now, and word studies are MUCH easier for me in the Greek, but still have lots to learn there, as well. But, yes way easier. Thanks.

George, can you tell me what the BDB or EBDB and HALOT resources are called, spelled out? I know I have seen HALOT in my books, but the names would make it easy for me to find them, and then if they are helpful, I can prioritize them to find them easier the next time. Thanks. BTW, "whew" on that broken heart thing. Glad your good. :) gloria

Which way is your way? (Why am I hearing Princess Bride movie quotes in my head) Maybe I should try something new.
I am seminary trained as a pastor so I have invested more money in original language resources and when I right-click I "search Lemma" to get to definitions in lexicons and dictionaries

Am I doing something wrong here?
Gloria, it appears you are NOT doing anything wrong. According to Vincent's comment (about 3 post above your last one) there are a couple of different databases for Strong's numbers. I rarely use Strong's numbers because of the resources that are in my library

I don't know where you got the idea that the KJV links to #2571. As you can see below both my NASB, ESV and KJV all link to #2567.
Hello, David. The Strong's numbers in the Reverse Interlinears have been significantly improved for Logos 5 (though I think the plan is to release those

I agree TC. (and great example w/ Hal. I use the "word" trunk when trying to get the women in my study to understand context. My surprise was when I looked at the word in the KJV using the word harnassed, it had a whole different strongs number. Im still looking though. But that was a great concise, clear way to say it.

I hope it's clear enough for you to see David, but the KJV I use does link me to 2571. Am I doing something wrong here?

  • What's the upgrade for "Scholars?"

I"m really REALLY confused by all this Logos 5 stuff. If I go to my account, It says that I have Scholars LE. In the upgrade there is no scholars. What does this mean for me and how much does it cost? Keep it simple, too. :) Thanks.

  • Need Hebrew help in understanding something that...

Can anyone help me understand something. A group of us is studying Exodus. We use the NASB. In Chapter 13:18 in the NASB it says, the “sons of Israel went up in ‘martial’ array.” In the interlinear, the strongs # for the word “martial” is #2567, and the dictionary I use tells me it means “to take one-fifth. In the KJV, the word “martial” is translated

Okay, I'm a bit confused by this response. "If was shopping for an ultrabook..." I don't know what an ultra book is and ??? Boot camp???? Macbook air???? Unless only the fisc rotation speed comment was for me? I will have to look into that. In the meantime, I haven't been working with program, but will definately log the user errors to post them. Anyway

I will definately do this. Thanks for the tip. Memory (ram) - 4 gig CPU - AMD AM2 Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Disc Space - 160 gig Video Card - 9600 GSO (nvidia gforce 9600) My DH gave me these numbers, as he's the one who built the computer. I'm at my laptop, so I don't know what version of Logos 4 that I have, but I'm sure it's up to date, as I use it every
