Things not working in Logos 6 meaning they will not work in Logos 7 ----- that's encouraging! Thanks for the replies! :-)

Is there a Logos 7 in the near future? I'm asking this because some things are not being fixed in Logos 6 / still getting the "not responding" when opening up layouts, so was wondering if these are being purposely overlooked because of something big in the makings.

I'm sorry Mark. I had meant to ask if any of the NIV's have "sin nature" found in them?

  • Re: A search through many Bibles

Thank you for this. I had done as you have pointed out but was thinking "sin nature" was found in the NIV. I typed that in and never found it so figured I must be doing something awry. If I had typed in "sinful nature" or "sinful man" it would have come up and I wouldn't have asked the question. That being said, is there any version of the NIV that

  • A search through many Bibles

This is no doubt this is right before my eyeballs but is there a way to do a search through all Bibles in Logos? If so, how?

  • Logos 6 hanging on download

Happy Post Halloween everyone! On an old(er) laptop, I've just upgraded to Windows 10. Logos was a bit behind on that one, so I downloaded updates and all seemed to have gone well. Then there was another update while Logos was beginning to Prepare Library & Index. I closed it down and started it back up again and now there's two messages I'm getting

Coming up a year since we heard Community Tags were going to be fixed in Factbook. A bit of response from the form and private mail from Logos and for some weird and wonderful reason, they're being stubborn about this one.

Very interesting and factual. It does work of course the way you state. Thanks for the pointers!

In a Search, let's say I type in "cannot be broken" Jn 10:35 ... presently, that is highlighted in yellow. This is what I was seeking to change. So are we on the same page?

Seriously? And we've progressed to Logos 6 and still not able to change a highlight colour. Weird & wonderful indeed! :-) Thanks for the reply Alabama!

  • How to change a highlight colour

Instead of me taking from now till the end of the month to find this out, why don't I ask you folks to help me on this. Let's say I type in a word in my Search. That particular word or phrase will come up highlighted in yellow. How do I change that say from a yellow to another colour (or color in the US)?

Ok, let me see if I'm following you still. In the Hebrew epistle, the dot in the Gr text isn't a Greek word that has not been translated, but a you say, it is implied. Am I understanding you correctly? Then again, if I'm following this correctly, it would not really be correct to translate "Who being the brightness of glory" ?

Ok, I had previously understood it the way you are saying Scott. But in the explanation of the dot, it says " the dot in the English text, it means that the Greek word wasn’t directly translated into English " ... That implies the Greek words is there but wasn't directly translated ... what am I missing?

  • Please explain the dot in the Interlinear

I have before me Hebrews 1:3 "brightness of (his) glory" ... in the Interlinear, I see a dot under the word "his" which is in italics in the KJV. I further read the explanation of the dot from this site ... https://wiki.logos.com/Reverse-Interlinear$2fInterlinear__Bibles#Bold_dots_in_the_Surface_text I read regarding the wee dot the following, " the
