Thanks for the replies! Both your descriptions fits to a T as to what I'm experiencing. Apparently, Logos isn't taking this one too serious. This is a problem that's been ongoing since last year (when Logos bounced onto the scene) and really should have been fixed by now in my judgment.

I see Logos has still not addressed this problem thus far. Has anyone been experiencing this as of late?

There Andrew, you have made it very clear this time. I have never used this feature before and stumbling upon the subject here in this thread, I became interested and totally confused. You have unconfused the whole thing and I appreciate you taking the time to do just that. I also appreciate the efforts of the rest of the gallant crew who attempted

Thanks for the reply Andrew. When opening up the little rectangular window on the top right of the screen, I get three options: sentence, paragraph & article. (I don't see 'verse anywhere in the list, at least this time I don't). I've tried each one, sentence, paragraph and article then right clicking in the pane and I get a slew of options, one

Ok, thanks for the two replies. It appears both you fellows are using Apple machines while I'm Windows 20, thus your 'two finger click" and Cmd + F etc. Mike, this is not really anything I'm searching the resources for but I'm wondering how do you bring up the Inline Search other than the Control F? I see the picture you have of it in your previous

Thanks Dave for that. Also Mike, just for curiosity, how are you getting the "Search this resource Inline" to come up as you have circled? If I hit the Control F, it will bring up the rectangular window on the top right that says in it 'find'. The only way I'm coming close is by a right click in the window and clicking on 'Search this resource (Inline
If you want context, try an Inline Search from the Bible's toolbar. The default context is Verse , but try Paragraph . You can't vary the context in the Search tool.
Dave, do you mind explaining how to do an Inline Search from the Bible Toolbar? I've looked about but don't see how to do that.

  • Re: Background Color

I've often wondered why Logos does not give the option to change colors. The simplest of Bible programs I believe does that. Though "Online Bible" is a bit more than a simple Bible program, from the late '80's till now, one can have various colors for the panes in the program. Having not a clue as to how difficult it would be for Logos to do this, I

  • copying a verse

When I copy a verse from the Tools / copy Bible verses, I click on for example, Eccl 3:11 and on the right side of the screen in the upper corner, I see the verse copied. But here's what I get. Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV 1900) 11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work

  • Re: Shift pages

I'm wondering if there is a way to take the whole page (everything on the right) and drag or shift it over to the left or vice versa. Not sure why I thought it was possible but in the back of my mind, I was thinking it was.

  • Shift pages

Is it possible to shift what is on the right side of the Logos page to the left side or vice versa. I'm talking about the whole page. I'll give a screenshot to hopefully get across what I'm referring to.

And that's the way it will work Mark, at times. There's been times "preparing your library" has shown close to 20 seconds. The near 20 second thing is not normal for this computer. And I think the reason it was showing faster in the logs you read, is that I had started it up several times without rebooting the machine, after having deleted the file mentioned

Andrew, what particular log file would you be asking for? Did you see the ones I sent up earlier?
The logos.log files, same as before, but now that we've changed something it'll be good to get another log file to compare.
Take a look at these Andrew, but that others

That you Rosie are experiencing the same thing tells me this is something written into the program. Andrew, what particular log file would you be asking for? Did you see the ones I sent up earlier?

  • Re: Logos 8 start

If I'm following you correctly, mine is opening different. It starts with the Logos Startup Window then the 'preparing library' which sometimes takes 20 seconds before the blank page shows up followed by the layout page. That this is happening on two computers here, apparently the programmers written something different into the program for it to open
