I updated my bid. I am interested enough to pay $51 if that's what it takes, although I certainly hope it goes for lower. But like Denise, I really don't want to lose it.

  • Greek NT Read Aloud

A while back Morris Proctor did a blog post on getting a Greek NT read aloud to you in Logos. At the time, the details weren't showing up the same way he was describing them and I never got an answer to my question on his post. So, I have the NA28, SBL, etc. Is there a way to have those read aloud? While I'm at it, can this be done with a Hebrew Bible
Can you check whether you have any saved guides relating to that reference? If so, what happens if you delete it? (Check you don't need it first!)
Yes, I did have one. Deleting it did the trick. Why in the world would that keep the NA28 from appearing?
What do you get if you run a Basic Search for the John 1:18 milestone in your NA28 apparatus as below?
I got the same thing you did... I also noticed that the NA28 is not showing up in the Editions section either:

  • Re: Text Comparison with F7

Got it, thanks. I was hoping that there was more specific control (such as number of versions displayed), but this will do.

  • Where's the NA28 in my apparatuses?

I noticed that in the Textual Variants section of the Exegetical Guide that under Apparatuses there is no mention of the NA28 Critical Apparatus - which I have. Note in the picture below that the text I'm looking at has significant variants, and the NA28 does have a list on the verse. Any ideas why it isn't being listed?

  • Text Comparison with F7

How do I choose which versions show up in the text comparison pop-up window when pressing F7? I noticed that in one of the Verbum Advanced training videos one of the guys had the NRSVCE, NABRE, a Spanish version and the Vulgate. Mine are quite different, which suggested to me that there is a way to configure that.

  • Saving your settings

I really wish that when I save a layout that it would keep all the settings just as I set them. For example, in my Translation layout, I have quite few panels and set all the biblical texts at 'None' regarding columns, and at the smallest text size possible. However, this is often messed up when I use one of the resources (e.g., NIV) in a different
But, unfortunately, there isn't a way to do bulk edits - each one needs to be done separately
Okay. Well, at least I know the answer now. Thanks.

  • Sectioning a Word List

How do I create sections in a word list? For instance, if I create a word list of all the words in the LXX in order to use them as vocab cards, such a list is too wieldy. If I can create sections, either alphabetically, numberically, or by book, then maybe it would work. I tried hunting through the Logos help section on word lists and searched the wiki

  • Re: Vocabulary Cards

Thanks everyone. I've downloaded the app and created a word list for 1 Peter. The app doesn't seem all that stable or intuitive, but I'll give it a shot.

  • Vocabulary Cards

Is there a way to create vocab cards to work on your Greek/Hebrew? For instance, in BibleWorks (I have BW8) I can work through the Greek vocab of the entire NT, or I could restrict it just the Greek words in 1 Peter.

  • Anchor Bible Dictionary error

I just noticed that when I copy and paste a selection from the ABD that the accompanying citation is lacking the volume number. For example: Affinities with specific dominical sayings include 1 Pet 1:10–12 (Matt 13:17; Luke 24:26); 1:13 (Luke 12:35); 1:17 (Matt 6:9; Luke 11:2); 2:12 (Matt 5:16); 2:19–20 (Luke 6:27–36); 3:9, 14; 4:5

  • Atlas

I was wanting to look more closely at the locations mentioned in 1 Peter 1:1 in the Atlas, but surprisingly, the only location in all of modern Turkey that is shown is Ephesus! I had chosen "Biblical World - Early Church" from the sidebar. I also tried a few other options from the sidebar, but couldn't get anything very close to what I was looking for

  • Books on 1 Peter

Has anyone made use (either personally or pastorally) of a lay-level book on 1 Peter that you would recommend? I am preparing to preach a series on 1 Peter and would like to be able to recommend a book to my congregation for those who are so inclined which they can read themselves. If anyone has any suggestions for a good resource on 1 Peter that could
I have quite a few Genesis volumes and the collection is still very pricey. ...if Faithlife offered a small, medium and large collection of various bible books I might be more inclinded to bite off a piece.
I agree. Those commentary bundles on Romans, John and Genesis are too pricey for most of those who would be interested
