• Crashing

Logos is continually crashing when I try to open it. I tried restarting the computer, but no success. Since I can't get Logos to open up, I can't post the exact program info, but I know it's up-to-date. 7.14, or whatever the most recent is. 6303.Logos Crash Report.zip

  • Logos March Madness Bracket Prediction

Just for the fun of it , I created brackets and tracked how I thought the commentary sets would progress. (I'm personally not interested in the Mobile Ed, so it isn't included here.) Probably way off, but here is what I think will happen. In the next post I will give what I wish would happen.

  • Parsing question

I am reading through 1 Kings 17 in BHS/WIVU and the pop-up syntactical information for מְקֹשֶׁשֶׁת in 1 Kin. 17:10 says it is Piel. However, the lexicons I have are all defining it as Polel, which I understand as a subcategory of Piel. However, why doesn't the pop-up window define it as such? Does Logos determine the syntactical info that shows in these

  • Tagging resources

I apologize that this may be a very basic question, but I can't figure out a way to accomplish what I want to do. So. I would like to be able to tag a dictionary article so that it appears when I run my passage guide on a related passage. For example, when opening my passage guide to Isa. 52:13 - 53:12, I would like Goldingay's article in IVP's Dictionary

  • Text Comparison Tool problem

I'm putting together a translation comparison layout using the Text Comparison (TC) tool. However, I'm finding that the TC does not always follow very well. I include a screen shot to illustrate. You'll notice that the open NIV Bible is set to 1 Pet 1:18, and that that reference is correctly repeated in the three TC windows that are linked. Of the three

  • Re: Logos not exporting

I am wondering now if the problem I am experiencing is due to a couple slides from the Media Tool that I had added to my sermon. After removing the slides, I tried exporting again - and it worked. So the question now is "why are the slides added to the sermon preventing it being exported?" E.g., I created a new sermon document, opened the Media Tool

How would that work though? Do seminaries buy a Logos package for students to use in their library?
You’ve all missed the point of the post, it’s about getting you to sign up for the Oxford Latin Dictionary. The discussion about why you should learn Latin is just the pretext. Unfortunately I think it’s the wrong pretext to try and sell an academic dictionary on Latin. If it was a latin learning

  • Trying to find a commentary...

I am trying to track down a commentary by a Dominican cardinal from around 1200. The only bit of info I am working on is from the general preface of Adam Clarke's first volume of his commentary, where he refers to this person as: " Hugo de Sancto CLARA, or Hugh de St. CLER..." (pg. 7) Does anyone know who this was, and if his commentary is available

Great, thanks for your help. I was hoping that I could find a scanned pdf of his work on somewhere like archive.org, but there doesn't appear to be anything at the minute.

For those who use Zotero, what format have you found works best for exporting from Logos?

  • Re: Editing title slide in Sermon Document
I could not do this in the Title Slide area. I had to do it in the body of the sermon and just added it as my 1st slide.
Yes, maybe that is where the problem is at, though it can obviously be circumvented as you demonstrate. I know how to do all of the above, I was just trying to do it in the Title Slide area. With the creed
I open the BibTex file using Notepad, and copy the text. I then paste it into Microsoft Word where I do the Find/Replace. I then copy all the text in Word and paste it into the BibTex file in Notepad, and save and close the BibTex file. I then import the BibTex into Zotero.
Great, that worked. Thanks!
I'm sorry, but an article about a historical translation sandwiched between the title, "Daily Beast" and an story about Castro's love child simply has no credibility. I simply can't take it seriously or have any confidence of journalistic integrity.
Doc, for the reasons you give, I can understand your hesitation. However
