  • Re: Logos 4 Mac. . . VERY POOR PERFORMANCE

I think the BDAG problem is related to the way graphics are rendered. I am going to try a clean install, but now that I think about it, my son has my second install on his laptop (he is only 15 and so the computer is technically mine). He is experiencing the same problem(s)-the only issue I can think of is that he is essentially running the same setup

Ouch. I guess I have been getting a little heated when you read these. When I write I am composed and calm. I hope I have not offended anyone and do not want to give the impression that I am degrading the name of Christ. If I have, please, all, forgive me for my impertinence.

Patrick, It would be better to say that the user experience is not consistent. My machine has a decent Geekbench score. However, my tests are vastly different regarding startup time and getting a new passage layout to populate. My startup time for a usable Logos was 4.5 minutes. For a layout (once Logos had stopped pegging my processor) it is about

If I am to be accurate, than I have been using this since early February, starting with Alpha 7 or 8. If I could get a refund right now, I would bid adieu to Logos. I say that with reluctance, in some sense. It offers more resources than any other product right now. But it doesn't work effectively for the classwork I need to accomplish. I am not a novice

Dan, Many of us have been using this program for over a year, waiting expectantly for a usable program, anticipating that once it went through the Alpha an Beta process, we wouldn't be having these performance issues. Thus, how can we expect a full refund (unless I am mistaken). I don't think it is un-christian to express our disappointment with the

I do hope that Bob is reading this. I love Logos for the resources it offers, but it is getting increasingly frustrating to work with the program itself. I know that they have been reticent about giving us a roadmap for the program, but we want to know how the optimization is progressing. What bone can you give us as a customer? A full refund? An upgrade

  • Re: Not Updating To GM - SR-5

I cannot update either. I did have Logos set to beta channel, but I changed it to default with this last beta. My assumption was that when the next SR came out I would be able to download that, is this thought true? I thought that with each beta you could not revert to a SR that came prior to it, but if you went back to default you would have any subsequent

  • Crash in BDAG, over and over...

When I look up phroneo Logos 4 crashes. It will crash when I click to link to the word (in any Greek text) and when I try to look it up directly. Here is the link: logosres:logosna27;ref=BibleNA27.Php2.2;off=-139 Here are the logs: 7215.Archive 2.zip

  • Displaying Test

Is there a way to display only the text which you query? What I mean by this is if I look up Rev 19 I am taken to that chapter, but I can still scroll to chapter 18 and 20, even the whole bible. Can I just isolate chapter 19? I know in Accordance I can choose to see the text isolated or in its context in relation to the other chapters or as a book or

  • Re: Can we add .lbx[___] files?

Okay, Thanks. I was looking at the Logos 4 application folder in the Library and I noticed that everything is now in a .db file (database file?). Is there a way we can make and share our own? It would enable us to share different methods of highlighting text (w/out all the work of having to set it up ourselves). It would also be nice to share different

  • Can we add .lbx[___] files?

I will preface this by saying that I did a search first before I asked this question, but so far, by the way I framed my query I could not find an answer. I don't mean to rehash. I have a few Visual Markup, Filter, and Layout files that were developed by Calvin Seminary for Logos 3. They end with these file extensions: .lbxvmp, .lbxvis, .lbxctb. Can

Oh, I am running the most current version of Logos, and it still has the same problem (as you can tell from the logs I imagine).
