  • Re: undo last highlight?

Thanks for suggesting deleting the highlight in the Note file. I have never done that before, but had the problem happen just now and was able to figure out how to do that and it worked. Thanks! I wish control-z would work for me since that would be much faster, but I'm really thankful to know there is a solution that works! Thanks for taking the time

That's interesting Control-Z works for you. If I press Control-Z immediately after I highlighted, the highlight remains. I'm using: Logos Bible Software 8.13 8.13.0.0008

  • undo last highlight?

Is there a way to undo the last highlight I made in Logos? (As can be done with control-z in Word.) I have come up with a pretty extensive color-coded highlighting system that really helps me locate different types of things later when looking back at the resource. I highlight pretty quickly as I read. Occasionally, instead of highlighting the word

  • Re: All highlights disappeared in one resource (but all others are fine)

Well, I don't know why that happened, and couldn't find any setting that was wrong. But then the idea came to mind to re-start my layout. So I did that, and thankfully the highlights are back now. I don't have any idea what caused them to disappear, but my issue is resolved through re-starting the layout.

  • All highlights disappeared in one resource (but all others are fine)

I have been reading through a commentary and making many highlights as I go along. Suddenly, as I was in the middle of clicking through different commentaries in my layout about a certain verse, when I came back to that commentary, all my highlights had disappeared. When I looked in other commentaries, their highlights were still there. Only this one

Thanks so much for the reply too, Philana! And for the tip about right clicking to select the whole chapter! That is so helpful!

  • printing - select whole chapter yet only one page prints

I'm using the most up to date version of Logos 8 on a Windows 10 machine. I am trying to print one chapter from a book but I only succeed in printing one page at a time even though I select the whole chapter. Here is what I have tried: I pressed "control P" and the print window appeared. I chose "use these selections" and clicked on every sub-section

  • Re: library pop up on other side of screen

Thank you so much!! That worked for me. Just making it a bit smaller caused it to flip to the right side (where Logos is open) and allows me to see my word doc on the left. This will really help me! Thank you!

  • library pop up on other side of screen

Sometimes I like to have Logos one 1/2 of my screen (on the right) and a Word doc to take notes on the other 1/2 of my screen (on the left). However, if I click on "library" in Logos, the pop up window goes out onto the side where my Word doc is. This is annoying because I might have the name of the title I want to look up in Logos written on my Word

  • Re: link set - whole layout at one time?

I work in Bible translation overseas, focusing on checking translations for accuracy. I find it helpful to change to "Romans" layout, where all the commentaries available to me open, as well as 5 English different translations, 5 study Bibles, etc. And also some Greek resources. Then, if I'm wondering about a given word or phrase, I can quickly look

  • link set - whole layout at one time?

I have set up layouts for most books of the Bible in Logos 8 with 20-40 resources in each layout. I now realize I want each resource in each layout to be part of the same "link set" so if I go to a certain verse, all the other resources in that layout will also go to that verse. Is there any way to create a link set for a whole layout, or do I need

  • footnote page number in bibliography in copy paste

When I copy/paste content from Logos into Word, I appreciate that the bibliographic info automatically shows up as a footnote at the end of what I copied and pasted. The page number is part of that bibliographic info unless I copied and pasted from a footnote in the resource in Logos. If I copy/paste from a footnote in a resource in Logos, then the

  • Can I turn off "power lookup" when I double click?

When I double click on a word in Logos 8 resources, "power lookup" pops up. I never want that to happen. I'm so used to Microsoft Word where double click allows the whole sentence to be highlighted, so I continually forget that doesn't work in Logos. So then I have to close "power lookup" every time, and manually highlight the sentence. (I use the highlight

  • how to change what pops up when mouse hovers over a word

When I hover over a verse reference with my mouse reference in commentaries and Lexicons in Logos 8, often a commentary section comes up in the popup instead of the verse content. (The commentary in the popup is not the resource I'm in at the time.) Is there a way to choose that ESV is what comes up when I hover over verse references in any / certain

  • Re: how can I turn off parallel resources?

Thanks for the helpful info! I'll try ALT+left next time. In the confusion of the book changing, I am usually not sure whether I pressed left or right, so then I press one or the other and often end up going to yet another commentary since I pressed the same arrow. I often don't even remember which book I was reading because I have so many commentaries
