• Re: Warning: prepub price guarantee only for books sold individually!

Thanks for your responses. Thanks for the clarification, Ben. I'd be happy for you to change the title of the forum post to reflect your response, since mine is clearly misleading now and unwarranted. To be fair to the salesman, the email was brief and offered me the chance to follow up with any questions. Instead, I took my disappointment to the forum

  • Warning: prepub price guarantee only for books sold individually!

Hi, I want to make others aware of something which was (rather shocking) news to me when I purchased the Reformed Expository Commentary in the present sale. I mentioned to the sales rep (great guy) that I had bought a 2 vol. upgrade exactly 5 weeks ago at $28.99. Neither of the volumes are available individually yet and the upgrade is no longer available

By the way Armin, you may well be able to purchase War, Peace, and Christianity: Questions and Answers from a Just-War Perspective if you remove the other one from your cart. Colin.
Since you were both having troubles with that resource, and it was on sale, you talked me into trying to purchase it. I had no problems, which leads me to believe my hypothesis accurate.
Thanks Alabama, I hope you enjoy the book! The funny thing is I have purchased many New Growth Press books from vyrso and have never

Reformed Means Missional: Following Jesus into the World is the one I'm trying to buy from the UK. You're probably right Alabama. It is a pretty misleading message though! Colin.

  • Letters of Luther cost more on CP than on prepub!

I just received an email that says, 'Your community pricing bid for The Letters of Martin Luther (5 vols.) was successful, and a Pre-Pub order has been created for you. The final community price you will pay for this product was established to be $42.00 on 5/19/2017. We will notify you as soon as this product is ready to ship.' I don't remember this

Hi Ben, I was browsing through the LN members page and noticed that dynamic pricing is not enabled for these ones any more: https://www.logos.com/product/28587/classic-studies-on-the-parables-of-the-bible https://www.logos.com/product/10000/spck-pauline-studies-collection Thanks, Colin

  • Re: Challies Commentary Set Dynamic Pricing Issue

Hi Mattillo, For me with my dynamic discount, it makes sense to buy volumes with over 50% off. Any less than that isn't worth it. I'm waiting to the end of MM to get the FF Bruce volume before I go for the set. Colin

  • Re: Challies Commentary Set Dynamic Pricing Issue

Thanks Whyndell though the test is if the normal retail price for that book is around $29 - then you would be getting 60% (or near to it) off. Colin.

  • Challies Commentary Set Dynamic Pricing Issue

This set represents an opportunity to get some good commentaries which are rarely (if ever!) discounted. For example, I haven't seen the Reformed Expository Commentaries on sale, though I've been watching them for 18 months or so. (The only exception is one by Brian Chapell which is 30% off in MM sale). The total undiscounted price is $1001 and the

  • Re: Baptist or bust?

Hi Josh, My only general advice is that if you are going to buy a Base Package you ought to do it while you have both the student discount and Logos Now as that will get you the best price. Personally, I think Base Packages are the best way to maximise your buying power within Logos. One last thought is that even though you are (I assume) baptist, one

Thanks for carrying on to discuss this guys and for giving me a little hope at least. I want to make the point which I left unstated in my first post which is that this 'problem' affects all of us. There were results found using the British spelling query which did not show when using the American one. It's in all our interest either to know how to

  • Searching with British or US spelling - different results!

I had naively assumed that I could search with British or US spelling and all the results from both queries would be returned. However, I was searching my library today for "empathise" and found just 26 results. When I search for empathize, it returns 718 (different) hits. (My search was more complex but when I got no meaningful results I tried just

Hi Ben, This one https://www.logos.com/product/16036/institutes-of-the-christian-religion is generally considered the most accessible. Given its size and scope, you'll want to make a start soon :) It's available in various base packages and collections so it's worth checking to see if you can get a better deal that way. Colin.

I'm not sure the Community Pricing is working properly. It doesn't look to me if the curve has changed all week, even though attention has been drawn to it in this thread. The wrong information in the email we all received and the static curve are all I have to go on but it is curious that the price hasn't moved. Colin
