Hi Daniel, I very much appreciate you doing that. Thanks, Colin.

  • Re: Prepub partly available in Lutheran libraries but no new to you section.

I bought the remaining annotated Luther volumes via 'quick buy' but unfortunately, most likely because it is just a commitment to buy rather than an actual purchase, it hasn't affected my pre-pub price at all. I've since realised that I fell foul of the complicated pricing system - the discount on those 2 volumes is in fact 36%, not 67% - the 67% discount

  • Re: Prepub partly available in Lutheran libraries but no new to you section.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I've taken the time to check out the bundle and have discovered just 8 volumes which I do not own. The rest were all available in base packages. My dynamic price is $111.73. I thought I would give details so others don't have to take the time as I did, trying to find if the remaining volumes were interesting to me and

  • Pre-pub. Lutheran Library Expansion Bundle with no 'new to you'

Is it possible to get a New To You section for this collection? https://www.logos.com/product/120479/fortress-lutheran-library-expansion-bundle It is very hard to find out which volumes I am missing and whether they are worth what the collection costs me with dynamic pricing. I think a salesperson once told me they can see this kind of information quite

This product is due to ship on 13th December and there is neither a new to you section or the usual section at the bottom with the stars indicating which books you own already. Can anything be done to make the decision to purchase (or not) an easier one? Thanks, Colin.

  • Re: Opinions: Best Reformed Expository Commentaries

Hi Doc B, Unfortunately you'll pay a premium price for the best reformed commentaries in Logos - the Reformed Expository Commentary series. But some of the authors have written in other series and in stand-alones so if you search for Sinclair Ferguson, Phil Ryken, Derek Thomas etc you ought to find some great books and the price won't be as high. Other

  • Re: Black Friday Deals

I've looked a little more and I think I know why you said you had 2 out of the 3 books and I also think this package is priced poorly - it's not good value. If anyone wants these books it is probably cheaper to buy supernatural separately, this getting 2 of the 5 books and hopefully saving on the dynamic pricing. I have no way to check this but if the

Hi Gao Lu, You may well have good reason to be disappointed but perhaps this is the explanation In your earlier post in this thread you stated that you own 2 of the 3 books. There are 5 volumes in this package so does that mean there are 3 you don't own? Also, the 77% is the total discount (16.08 must be 23% of 69.99), not just the dynamic discount

  • Re: Missing Dynamic Pricing on Lexham Kuyper Comprehensive Studies Collection ?
The pricing is correct, but several of the volumes are missing from the list (whether or not you own them). As a workaround, you can see all the volumes at the bottom of the page, with the blue symbol indicating what's new to you.
Hi, I'd noticed that too. I also noticed that it's cheaper to buy the remaining volumes

Hi PetahChristian, I hesitate to wade in here since I know you've been posting a lot about this lately. I've pushed back a few times myself and usually Glenn comes on and shows me I've misunderstood how things work. I just wanted to make sure you're aware that the discount price is calculated AFTER your dynamic price has been calculated. Here's an example

  • Re: Calvin 500

I have 2 Calvin collections: one is 'Calvin primary' for Calvin's own writings and the other is 'Calvin' which includes secondary literature. I don't know much about making collections and very simply typed in Calvin in the the start with all resources matching box. I had to make a few 'minuses' but I didn't miss anything that I'm aware of. Later I

  • Re: CP Life and influence of Philip Melanchthon

Thanks Glenn, I'm looking forward to this one as well. Due to the vagaries of the CP system, it looks like $18 is more likely to cross the line than $19. I'm most interested in the books by Richard and Wilson, as well as Melanchthon's edition of Luther's hymns. Colin

    Thanks for replying Graham.
Last I heard the Logos Windows app is no longer available in the Windows store so I am surprised you have this option.
Actually I haven't checked - I just assumed there was a windows app! It seems my choice is simpler than I imagined. I'll install the full program. Colin.

  • What can I not do with tablet app that I can with full program?

Hi everyone, I just bought a Lenovo Yoga 300 which gives me the option either to install the full program (I have 500GB) or install the windows app and use it in tablet mode. I generally do my Logos study and research from my home PC but will use the Yoga once or twice a week with free wifi. I usually upgrade a base package each month so my Logos does

Hi Brooks, I wasn't sure how to phrase that to avoid misunderstanding. It looks like I failed By home page I wasn't speaking of the website but of the Logos programme when you click on the home icon. My birthday certificates always appear there though I do not receive the emails. I have to scroll down if I don't check for it soon enough after my birthday

  • Re: O'Brien commentaries and Academics

Personally, I think the academic citation of O'Brien's commentaries is not an issue. Let me explain. When you give an academic citation, you are indicating the publication from which you gave the quotation or learned the information or got the idea. In this case, the idea comes to you from a particular book of PT O'Brien's and you are giving the details

Hi Stephen, Though I get lots of email from Faithlife, I'm not aware of getting one about the birthday credit. But it appears in my home page on/just after my birthday (which is also in October.) It's worth scrolling down to see if yours is there! Colin.

I notice too that the highlights of the debate between Luther and Erasmus is available (though I'm not sure about the quality of the translation) in a Bloomsbury edition here: https://www.logos.com/product/37752/discourse-on-free-will This has very few details and only appears to be available in a collection. I have it and I note that it is translated
