  • Desktop for Logos 8: Mac or Windows

I grew up up on Windows. About 8 years ago, I started using Mac Mini and MacBook Pro and I'm impressed by the UI and particularly the large TrackPad. Right around 5 years ago, I bought my first Logos and used it on my Mac Mini and laptop. Things were OK but not great in terms of speed. Then, when I upgraded from Logos 7 to Logos 8 on my 5 year Mac Min

Understood. That's probably the ideal situation. I'm thinking about moving the indexes and what naught to the SSD.

    >> Logos wiki has => Install in different folder or drive In that link, it talked about Logos uses ~/Library/"Application Support"/Logos4 When I went to my ~/Library/"Application Support"/ dir, there is only Logos4. I thought we are on Logos8 ? Am I missing something? Or they have not changed the name of the folder?

Just general slowness. E.g. Startup from scratch, took a while to settle into a state where I can start typing it. In general, it took around 1.5 min to 100 secs to be in a usable state. Type in a biblical ref in the Open Passage area and hit GO and it takes around 2.5 mins to set up the page Hover my pointer over a word in the original text to bring

  • Performance of Logos8 on Mac OS 10.14.4

I do not see much difference in the performance and responsiveness for Logos8 on Mac Mac OS 10.14.4 . Is there a good way to split up any caching on a separate secondary device so things can happen more in parallel?

  • How to tell if Libraries Packages are installed?

I have owned Logos6 + Gold libs previously and I have upgrade to Base Logos7 a couple years ago. 2 days ago, I upgrade to Gold for Logos7. How do I tell if I have all the Gold libs installed ? When I clicked on About, it does not really tell me about the libs.

  • Zeroing into relevant part in BDAG and HAL

When I am already at a Scriptural text and I hover over a word, the Information pane on the top right would retrieve the English dictionary meaning together with the first few lines of what BDAG/HAL says. Then, I click on BDAG (for example) and it opens a additional pane in the commentary section. Often, BDAG has many shades of meaning and I had to

  • Add Septuagint into standard text panel

At the HOME page, after a Scriptural reference is typed into Passage search bar, LOGOS find all the resources and present a good starting point for that verse. On the top right side, there is a pane that list all the available Bible versions for that verse (NASB95, ESV, KJV, etc.) Question: How do I add a Septuagint resource into this list of versions

  • BWS and Percentage

In the Bible Word Study (BWS), I thought there was a calculated percentage for the Hebrew/Greek word occurrences in the Scriptures in previous minor releases of Logos6. I don't seem to be able to find it anymore. All I see now is the following info: kabod | 147 of 192 Is there a way to turn ON/OFF percentage calculations? The LOGOS Wiki seems to indicate
