Ah, my mistake. Thanks!
-
I’ve joined the group, but I’m not getting that “Today in Christian History” section - do I need to get it set up on desktop first, or am I missing something else?
-
This update is just incredible. Really great work.
-
For what it’s worth, I much prefer the new version - the lack of distractions makes it easier for me to use, and it makes the readings feel shorter because there’s a clear end. But then my reading plans are always sequential and mostly daily, so the context is easy to remember.
-
I’m afraid that there’s not much you can do - you can keep using the old Logos app as long as it’s functional or you can get a new iPad. That iPad (4th Gen) came out 8 years ago now and can’t support the more recent iOS versions required for the latest version of the Logos app to work.
1. Is it best to read these in Logos or Faithlife Ebooks? 2. Do Ebooks have a list of contents? Thanks in advance Colin
I’m guessing from your question that you’re using the mobile app? I don’t think there is a dedicated Faithlife ebooks app on desktop. You can access all your books through the Logos
-
You update it within the app - the Logos 8 app will download the Logos 9 update automatically after you’ve purchased it.
-
But the options on the left are the back button (top) or home button (bottom)? Are we sure this relates to the mobile app?
-
To clarify, I have no idea what it means to select a “Selection” option on the left side.

If I'm reading a Bible or book and click on a word, is there a way to easily look this up in factbook (such as with press and hold) or do I need to copy and paste? If not, this would be a valuable addition.
This is not currently possible if you have the "Selection" option selected
-
I’m really thrilled that the mobile app has got the factbook, passage lists, and more robust/versatile/accessible searching. There’s been some real improvements for Logos 9. I’d love to see more parity with the desktop or web apps, but my biggest concerns are where the app feels “broken” still - the atlas was working relatively

If you use the library view from the tool-bar at the bottom of the screen and you leave that view on the store tab before exiting the view, when you open a new resource from the tab view, the resource list will be stuck on that store page with no option to view your existing library
-
Thanks for the feedback on Passage Lists Simon. We intend to spend some time improving our guides experience on mobile soon.
That’s great to hear! Honestly, the more you can close the gap with the web-app, the better. I really hope that the atlas returns to the mobile app and that media results will be

One bug I’ve found that might be in the app store version as well: If you use the library view from the tool-bar at the bottom of the screen and you leave that view on the store tab before exiting the view, when you open a new resource from the tab view, the resource list will be stuck on that store page with no option to view your existing library

The opposite of binding is releasing. I think the “unbound” wording for the event was literally just saying that they would be releasing something.
-
Ah, no. The Factbook on Mobile is a new feature with Logos 9. You need to own Logos 9 or subscribe to FL Connect in order for it to appear as an option.
-
3 lines, not 3 dots - they’re different menus. The three dots are for verse-related tools, but the three lines are a way of jumping to any tool. Just to check, you have bought Logos 9, yes?
-
Finally, we have some ideas for adding some other items in these Omnibox results for quicker navigation to other tools in the app. Hope this helps!
That sounds great!
-
Currently, this feature currently only supports these resource types (resources that are faily simple to break down into a chapter by chapter format): text.monograph, text.serial.journal, text.serial.magazine, text.monograph.sermons, text.monograph.systematic-theology, text.monograph.grammar, lbx.calendar-devotional

The Factbook is outstanding, especially on mobile. It feels almost indispensable after less than a day’s use.
