There are also a very few alpha testers who get even earlier access than the beta testers. Most of them are Faithlife employees. Faithlife invites a few others from among longtime users who know the product very well (mostly MVPs). Yes, alpha testing is kept pretty hush-hush so as not to reveal new features that are still

Thanks MJ. I hope I’ve made it clear enough, but just in case, I really do love you guys and all that you do! Hope it doesn’t look like I’m trying to challenge/dismiss that!
-
James, Everyone is allowed to be a beta tester, with no compensation. Generally that's the latest from the horses mouth. So I don't think they are getting secret information that we don't. The MVP's complain to Faithlife about their troubles just the some as we do. If Faithlife wants to say "Thank You" to the MVP's ( and

...but still think some kind of badges might be a good idea.
I think the challenge here would be determining what warrants the issuing of the badge or badges. Would there be a minimum value in $ before a badge is issued?
Some of the MVPs have a red star signifying who they are

I’ve said this twice before in this thread but noone seems to have noticed. I’ve seen nothing remotely suspicious, but still think some kind of badges might be a good idea. Without any accusations/suspicions of bias/animus etc, knowing if a group of people is getting different treatment and exposure to facets that we are unaware of is helpful

Do the current feature-only upgrades not do that job?
I'm with MWW, Josiah, and Leo Wee Fah. I'm also thankful not to have experiences that lead me to be suspicious of the Most Valuable Players who enrich my life in many ways. May the peace of Christ be with us all!
Just want to reiterate that my claim wasn’t made over suspicions of dishonesty or other ill motives
-
Hmmm... interesting. Out genuine interest, where would you draw the line? For example, should I state in my signature that I received a financial gift from Faithlife for Beta Testing and making contributions (Canvas documents) to Logos 8? As I say, that is a genuine question. :-)
If people are receiving specific

I'm so thrilled with these - I honestly thought there was a mistake because the prices worked out so incredibly well for me - that maybe it was academic pricing and that they forgot to close it off to non-academic users. They're really, really wonderful packages.
-
In another thread, I saw Ben (FL employee) affirm that these are intended for non-academic qualifying buyers, so you shouldn't need to worry!
That's awesome - thanks for letting me know!
-
There's a little part of me that wants to tell everyone to be quiet about the academic bundles just in case it was a huge mistake to make them available to non-academic plebs like me and Logos decides to restrict them. I can't afford the top bundle right now , but it's a stupendously good price for some resources that I really want! Still, I guess it

I'd love to have this in Logos - or at least Faithlife Ebooks - I believe that it's due to be released on Friday.

I wasn't planning to buy anything but couldn't resist Authorised at $2.99.
I make no apologies. I believe that Logos is deceptive in the savings they display for dynamic prices.
But how do you account for the people (like me) who say they think this system is more helpful for them? Could it not be the case that people might simply have different points of view on this topic without anyone
-
Showing us a toolkit that 99% of users don't know about is a poor explanation. Logos has been using deceptive discount labels for years. I am tired of it.
If nothing else can be taken from the thread, I think it’s proof that a proportion of the replies are from people who like (even prefer) the current system
It is sad that they chose to go with the subscription model. I just want to buy books and be done with it. I see no reason that a book reader should have a subscription
If you don’t find Connect worthwhile, you can ignore it and purchase outright as before. Kindle offers a subscription service that I

Guys, come now. This isn't the place to be critical about one another's denominations/language/doctrines etc.
-
Do you mind me asking why? In the example given above, how does the 94% 'discount' help you?
When I first started to use Logos, it was just the mobile app and freebies because I didn't want to risk buying a large package, but thought that I'd have to repurchase the same material if I tested the waters first - it was

I would definitely want the total percentage price difference (including dynamic price) to be the most prominent figure, however the breakdown appears.

Setting aside any specific judgment of the resource itself, if there's a popular/influential Christian resource that I'm concerned about, Logos is the best tool I have to evaluate/critique it. If it's not available in Logos, it makes that task harder.
